What are the normal attack patterns/setups that are to be expected with most Bao players??? I've only fought one, and seen a few matches, and all I really saw was a few fireball spams to cr.C spam...
I'm on FightCade!!!

I usually see that too, cr. C seems to be a good anti air move, and his j.CD is a good air to air. But mostly I see people running and chucking fireballs with him. His j. down + B seems to be a good crossup if you down someone down in front of him.

Also, I just realized this little bastard has a frigging 60 to 70% combo that you can do in max mode on one level. I'll post it up soon...

I know what you are talking about about the level one 60-70%, the question is how are you going to land it in a match?

It revolves around the {qcb+cxxqcb+D} loop to hcbx2+k super..it's good don't get me wrong and a lot of damage hence Bao is A class and at the beginning of the game Top Tier, but now we realize that he doesn't have enough to really setup those high damaging comboes!!!

Remember f+a is not an overhead!!!

Activate, St.Cxxf+a to hcb+cxxhcb+D to hcbx2k super facing the other way itself does 50%, but again if he has nothing to fear how is he going to land that off a level one?

What I do to mix it up a little is overhead f+bxxaerial qcb+c..but thats all that will truly combo from the air..the other stuff comes out for wakeup mixups etc, but doesn't hit.

At least not that we have discovered now and trust me I been seeking!!!

Also something else, Neutral jump/backwards/forwards hop D if you time it right is an instant anti air.

I've seen people list the "neutral jump" button as an instant overhead, but to be specific, it works with neutral hop, sometimes the neutral normal jump has a different command than neutral normal hop. Also if it works with neutral normal hop as a instant overhead, it works with forward normal and backwards normal hop.

I'll play with Bao some at the Beat the Pro Challenge this weekend..I'm sure it'll keep me from getting too bored lol.

Activate, cl. or cr. c, f+a, hcb + c, hcb + d, hcb + c, hcb + d, hcb X 2 + K, you can't use that if someone whiffs or recovers from an unsafe normal move or super? It seems pretty practical and easy to me. If you aren't in the corner, you can just do one hcb + c in that sequence then cancel into hcb x 2 + K. If someone whips something out stupid infront of me or is simply not blocking, I'll try to go for that.

You can Desmond, but I'm saying at a high level it's not going to be that useful. Anyone that knows Bao will just sit there and block. Hell I would let you intentionally C grab me and not mash out of it because by the time you get done with the C grab your meter would be out!!!  The moment you activate I'm just gonna sit there and block until you run out of meter (and if you continue with it without hitconfirming I will wait till the last hcb+d to guard roll and punish you because you are unsafe if you don't finish with the super or if you finish with the super!). I MAY jump a bit esp if I notice you are going to start it out with St.C, f+a because you won't land that with me jumping, so you may consider revising your combo to make it more practical by starting with a qcb+c as an anti air..practice that in training mode in case some one jumps you can do something else.

See this is the way I think in my spare time, I find a way to make it practical!!!!  =)

I guess I can't argue with that, you have some good points. I will be hitting training mode to experiment some more!

The little dwarf depends a lot from a bar,  as far as I know the only combo than I can start from a low attack, is cr.b, cr.a and then one of his DM's

I like his standing D, is easy to quick max, and has some priority IMO, a good combo is cl.c, f+a, QM, Cl. D, qbc + c, qcb + d, and if you are at 5/8 from the screen, you can keep continuing with another qcb + c and D, and then the DM, problem is that like DG said, the best thing will be to block always, so there goes the fireball spam game, so it will take some skill to use Bao, but overall, he can do damaging combos with little meter

well you probably know that by now

Bao hob  ;dn  ;a can be a very good cross up hit and have top priority and heavy impact
after landing the hit confirming is pretty easy with s.  ;d activate  ;d and go on
you need to know the required distance for landing the jump  ;dn  ;a as a cross up or fake cross up hit (your challenger may be fooled and guard in the wrong direction)

you can do this mix up on matches
jump  ;dn  ;a;up  ;a;dn ;b if he is blocking low
or jump  ;dn  ;a > cr.  ;b > s.  ;d (very strict timing to link in a combo but can be done with practice) and then activate and continue your combo

back dash  ;dn ;db ;bk ;c is safe on block and very good anti air

I have too many tricks with bao and I will share them if any one is still interested to post here about 2002um....!
