I am eventually getting to that point with getting the equipment needed to do what they do in Arcade Infinity to stream, me and Oscar have talked about that and that is the next thing I am going to get, so in the future you guys will start seeing matches of AI's quality once I get the equipment and figure it out..but with that said 2 weeks or prior to the tournament in Mexico or Absolute Battle 2010 in Dallas isn't enough time for that..so we are talking 2011 tournaments..
Cibernetico- I play against anyone so anyone that would want to play me I'm open game.
Hatred- It's a different game, I like doing things differently from time to time, not the same old same old, that gets boring, so I keep myself playing various games so I don't get bored out of certain games too quickly...
Also 99 and 99 EVO are drastically different games..seriously...

I will just turn this thread to Geese Tower (no more MightyMar so I have to travel to places to play) and casuals from various places in the USA. My next stop will be a tournament in Ft. Worth this weekend where I will get a lot of casuals.
After that 2 weeks later I will be in Minneapolis, Minnesota for 4 days for a mandatory colloquia residency for my PhD program. So you all will see the Geese Tower moved to DelaGhetto's House for 4 days...

Thanks I don't think they are that nice but then again I am sooo used to having to play my #1 team in Mexico all the time that it's hard to get used to having to pull out my 30th string team again in the USA....xD

Yeah I was trying to one-up Justin Wong's victory at Powerup by intentionally playing his characters (Heavy D, Kensou, Robert/EX Robert etc) lol.
I'd say regular Robert still is better than EX, but EX is still pretty good!!! Now I'm working on some more regulars in the USA so I can have some people to play with otherwise next time you guys will see vids is after I get back from Minnesota in 2 weeks!

I wanna come to SoCal when 13 hits consoles so I can play you guys in the game I know you guys play. I know you guys don't play the older KOFs so I'm basically buying my time for 13 to come out.
I also wanna plan it to be a tournament around SoCal (Raging Storm SoCal, something with USA vs. Mexico etc) so that I can go to SoCal have a tournament with you guys, have Kula and other people from Mexico (even Japan etc) come up so we can make it something SPECIAL with 13 and other games, and then get to play you guys!!!!
I won't give up, unforseen circumstances have gotten in the way of our previous plans (I was supposed to be going to San Diego or California the end of this month to go to the Tijuana thing but we all know what happened), but that won't stop me!!!

we don't play older kofs as much but i'm sure we can put up more numbers in tourneys in xi, 2k2/um, 98/um than anywhere else you've visited in the US. i mean, it's not like we're garbage in those games that you find better competition elsewhere in the country.

Yeah, key word is we don't play the older kofs anymore--it's not like we only like the new age stuff, it's mainly coz we don't have the time to focus on too many games as we're getting older.
RJ/4leaf does have a point, no disrespect to other parts of the country, but I'm sure our 2k2UM, XI, 98(UM) level is more competitive here than the rest of the states. We (other than John maybe) might not be able to keep up with games that Mexico have been play exclusively for the last 10 years, or China in '98, but other than that I dunno why you insist on go everywhere but here. No love =(
Yes it'll be fun to play international players like the Japanese and the Mexicans, but don't forget about us too in the meantime till that gets setup. I'm sure if you really wanna a run for your money in XI the Cali-Mexicans and RJ will play you.

So then guys can I plan a future tournament with the older games?? Remember I planned some stuff in the past with USA vs. Mexico (Nouveau Defi Epilogue: The Revenge of Northern Mexico remember guys?) but I heard no one was interested in joining so I pretty much scrapped it.. =(
I was under the impression that no one played the older games anymore period after trying to set that up....but it's good to know at least that people play it!!

It was moreso to have some casuals in XIII while at the same time play something that you were more comfortable at as well. Our main focus, always has, and most likely always will be, the current KOF whatever it is.

Oh okay gotcha, now that I know that I will also be able to play stuff then sure let me look at my colloquia schedule, how close/far is Anaheim to you guys? I have a colloquia I have to attend Middle of July and the only place in California is Anaheim...so like me going to Minnesota to play Desmond next week, I could be in California middle of July..(July 14-17th)

Sure thing man...one day open invitational thing is that day really only can be Thursday when I arrive because Friday, Saturday and Sunday I will be gone from 8-5 to my PhD residency.
That grudge match is on him, and if he accepts I'm shooting for perfects against him just to send a message to everyone else if they run their mouth like that what is going to happen to them!!!

I know it's not my business, but I think this is the sort of attitude more people would be appreciative of in general. See people eye to eye, squash the beef, deliver the goods. I think at this point it's overblown in your own mind what people think of you in the states, but if you just show up to the gatherings/ majors, answer those who call on you like what SoCal and MN are essentially doing, and play whichever heads have something to say (versus talking or blogging about them) then you'd be surprised how easily you can erase whatever stigma exists in actuality. This is stemming from your supposed standpoint that you're just better off in Mexico given the circumstances. Maybe you shouldn't care, but making the effort demands only respect.

I understand this, but at the same time people have to understand that I cannot be traveling everywhere all the time. I have to look out for my own interests because what happens if I keep traveling everywhere?
People get spoiled by it and start expecting me to keep doing it all the time (See Final Round primary example). That's what happened in the USA basically. All I am doing now is taking care of as many things as I can while I am going to be in the areas themselves anyways since this is not making an actual tournament.
Now I won't be able to do this all the time, so I hope people don't expect me to be traveling all the time again around the USA...
I'm just killing two birds with one stone.
I don't want people expecting that I am going to keep traveling to a lot of places on an annual basis all the time because that's not gonna happen. It's gonna be if I can do it I will.
Otherwise if they wanna get mad about that again we will be right back where we started. If I was traveling all over the USA people would be fine when I did go to their place, but then they'd easily forget the next year if I don't!!!
Again who am I taking care of here? What about what I want? I feel all this time I've been taking care of everyone else and not taking care of myself (and in turn I got burnt out and tired of it).
So what have I been doing? Taking care of myself (I realized I have been going about this thing backwards, how can I hope to take care of others if I am not even taking care of myself?).
Again I just hope by me going everywhere and like to FR when 13 hits the locals don't start EXPECTING me to show up every year because that's when there is a problem, when people EXPECT me to show up to places every year..
My focus areas in the USA are the following:
SoCal and Minnesota.

She's good in 98UM Oscar we were going head to toe back and forth (I gotta pull out my #1 to #2 team with her. We are gonna run it back some more Sunday)! She was telling me about how they play in Cambodia, vids don't do her justice. I think she can hang with me, Mr. KOF etc in 98UM that's how good she is!!! She brings a unique style of play to the table took me a little bit to get accustomed to it!

I remember seeing a vid of a butterfly player playing 98um way back. I could see that this person had great execution and had great fundamentals.I didn't even know Butterfly was a girl up to now LOL. I will give butterfly the credit that she deserves by her hanging with you in the game. Jokingly I would respectively say if i played her i'd have make her want to go back in her cocoon stages :) All jokes aside, a girl playing KOF and being good at it is HOT. It's even better if they're cute too while kicking ass. Shoot i'd kill for a KOF girl like that. I've only met two in my life...and trust me when i say they were Cuuuuuuuttttteeee...alll the guys make a big fuss when a girl whoops a guys ass!

No problem just got in and made it home. Special thanks to Desmond for housing nice meeting Sina (Ladybutterfly), playing with TONEs and going around Minneapolis and St. Paul!! There are quite a few videos I even have left to upload from me and Desmond playing....
Rule of thumb people need to realize- Whether you choose to go all out in casuals or not, realize that if you do go all out in casuals that there are people like me that are watching and methodically dissecting your every move only to use that against you.....(see 98UM first day me and Ladybutterfly played and on the stream, I got to watch some 98UM matches while in school, made a world of a difference I knew exactly how to counter her style).
Comparing me vs. Ladybutterfly in 98UM the first day and on the stream guys is a clear example of a serious negative consequence of choosing to give it 100% all the time in casuals. People like me will download your information and then you will be completely exposed!!!
All I view and treat casuals for are a way to warmup, experiment, and GATHER INFORMATION. I do not care if I am winnng or losing in casuals, they are meaningless...the most important thing is staying warmed up and again GATHERING INFORMATION if your opponent is going to reveal it to you...
For example I've gathered enough information without watching any videos in 2k2UMT to know I can use Takuma effectively vs. Ladybutterfly to nullify her King. There is no telling what else watching all the videos will tell me.

Ultimately, it's very important to have an adaptive playstyle so that even if your opponent figures you out, you can change accordingly. Naturally, it's easier said then done and everyone has some sort of pattern, some sort of frame work they play with.
That's why 4leaf (RJ) is such and underrated player since he's quite random at times and even playing him for this long we still dunno what the hell he's doing lol.

Oh yeah and by the way I am going to put some stuff out in the open because I have been privately contacted and I am going to tell you all this I do not want to be associated with any "Minnesota drama."
1. I left my converter and KOFXII at home (thinking no one wanted to play KOFXII, so I was playing on Desmond's PS2 controller.) I was not playing on my controller so don't even think for a second that is how I play if I am playing with my own controller.
2. I was gone from 6-6 (got to Desmonds TIRED at 6:00 PM) everyday except Sunday, so how is it really my responsibility to contact someone and go play them?? Whatever beef you may have between Desmond or whatever is going on between you two you are going to tell me that is stopping you from making the effort to contact him (or contact me via email or whatever) to come play me???
3. How is it my responsibility to contact YOU with me being at Desmonds? How foolish does that sound...again it is not like I was there and got to play all day everyday.
4. Again I do not want anything to do with this drama whatsoever, so I want to make myself clear..

I don't see nothing wrong with going all out in a casual, as you fight to win (while having fun obviously)... However, I feel that some people tend to be only one trick ponies, in the sense that you only have one 100% to give, and not say 4 or 5 100%s... I see this like Tai Chi; you can still give your all, while also being able to become free flowing and switch it up without necessarily being repetitive... Sure, this character is built to "zone", but can you work him/her to hold it down up close in a tight situation (i.e.- corner trap, etc)? Can you train your opponent to think a certain way, while pulling off something he wouldn't have expected because he expected something else based on the "training" you were doing??? How well can you adapt??? I'm pretty sure Daigo, Chibita, Dio, and a few other top JP players who play the same character can do casuals, but still come through in tournaments, because they adapt and overcome...

Just wanted to let you guys know that Geese Tower matches may begin anew again with Batou, Sanji Himura and possibly Orochi Ryu in the next 2 weeks should things get back started! I will keep you guys updated/posted as things begin anew as my quest "To be the Best" continues!!!

Confirmed today Geese Tower casuals with MetalThrashingMadman today from The Geese Tower will post as soon as they are finished. Now timing is strange because everyone is looking for LAC 2k11 matches on my channel so I can only anticipate people wanting to see those matches and then seeing these lol.
Now I have made a public announcement on my youtube channel and on facebook that if these comments are made in anyway shape or fashion about "Not wanting to see this" they will be deleted immediately.

I want to thank Dark Geese for taking the time to help me improve my game. Up until now I have never really had a chance to play SNK fighters with other people (my friends simply have no interest in them). Now, DG and I will be playing against each other regularly. So hopefully as time passes we'll see a lot of improvement on my part. But until then don't be surprised when you see me lose over and over.
Special Note: On occasion I like using random select, but today I had real shitty luck with it. So if you see a vid where I am using Bao, IT WAS AN ACCIDENT! I would never pick that character by choice.

MTMM: No problem man as I told you if you play with me I assure you next time you enter KOF at EVO you won't get last place (unless it's like an 8 man tournament only tops or something then it's anybody's guess period!!! xD). Work at what I told you about, watch all these matches I'm uploading, look at your mistakes in the matches and then next time try not to make the same mistakes twice, if you do that each and every time we play watch how much better you get over a long period of time.
Sanji: That's the situation for most in the USA, hence if people really want to get better they have to pretty much take control of the situation themselves!

Yeah and the key is again he has access to 95% of the games I have access to. MightyMar didn't have access to these games before so that hurt him over the long haul, he has access to these so that should help him over the long haul. We are set to play again next Saturday!

Hey that's how I teach, I'm a tough teacher...I take people to the point of wanting to quit to see if they are serious, if they are serious they'll keep coming back..I'm like that college professor that gives homework to the students the first day of class....the serious ones will do it, the others won't waste my time and will drop the class....

But upon closer inspection, they will see that this "college professor" has no education...rather, a fraud that makes videos of himself humiliating beginners in order to degrade them while at the same time, trying to make himself look good to other players that are also uneducated, while feeding his own starving ego.
Really, what's the real point of this? You can give the videos to the guy himself so he can study them and see what mistakes he is making. You don't care if this guy succeeds or not, he's just a tool for you just like all the other beginner players you decided to upload videos of. MetalThrashingMadman, I'm telling you now...you are making a big mistake getting involved with this clown.

You have some serious issues, and they need to be addressed. You aren't exempt from criticism(constructive), especially after the crap you've pulled in the past.

And I don't find him uploading the vids of our matches in the least bit embarrassing. I'm an adult and I know where my skill level is at. If it turns out down the road that we don't get along I'll deal with it then.

Really!? I must be ahead of the curve then. I already won 2 matches against him. 1 in SS1, and 1 in KOF2001. Though I admit it seemed he wasn't going full force in the KOF2001 match. Well this is a bit of a confidence boost.

Yeah whatever, dude. That’s on you then, but Emil’s right though. The guy is a super prick and a phony. I had to find that out the “hard way” after I was warned several times about him. But you can find that out for yourself. You’ll see how much of a “stand up guy” he really is once you start kicking his ass in the game. He’ll drop you and move on to the next sucker.

I don't know what your problem with Dark Geese, but so far he seems like a stand up guy. I know online he seems to have an abrasive personality. But in person he's really respectful. And I don't find him uploading the vids of our matches in the least bit embarrassing. I'm an adult and I know where my skill level is at. If it turns out down the road that we don't get along I'll deal with it then.

Dark Geese how would you like to fight me FT10 in kof 2002/um/13 as an honorable gentleman and player and not some money match bullshit?? We can do it at Final Round next year if you are going since I will be there.
I say this because I would like the chance to face off against you in a set and not just a tourney match, but I don't have the income to pay you $1000 or whatever, in the case that I lose since I am taking it as a real possibility. I'm a college student with minimal funds...
