i do want to chime in that 98 iori is retarded good in the few days i've had to play with him. and looking at 98 kyo he is looking incredibly buff as well.

the characters i run into most in online play (this week) is 98iori / hwajai / kyo / robert

Kula Diamond / Re: Kula Diamond

i need anti-kula technology. all i face online and inperson are kula after kula after kula (of course paired with k'). but for some reason kula aggravates me because her comboes last so goddamn long, i think i'm playing blazblue.

what are some holes in kula gameplay that i should be looking for. with reflectors, incredible range on her ice spin, and a pretty darn good overhead there isn't many places for me to react to. it likely doesn't help that i tend to play against her using a grappler (anyone from clark, vice, raiden). i do not want to have to counter pick her with kensou (who i'm having great luck with since he's so good in console), but solid strategy to use.

Meet & Greet / Re: What's Up DC? Cincinnati(WTF) Here

Hey. fellow Ohioman. I'm located up here in Cleveland, so unless I get down to Arcade Legacy I likely won't run into you. But hey, it means we may have a good connection over Live.

I am pushing this game hard among our group up here and am hoping it becomes a staple not just here but across the midwest. It will be tough since this game has tight links, a strict combo system, no shortcuts, and no silly comeback mechanics. But it oozes style and everything is so satisfying to pull off!

Throwing a tourney up here on Jan 8th. I will definitely be running KOFXIII!

it was cool watching you cast, man. i'm happy to see known fighting game players giving this game a shot. I am hoping that if enough of you guys take the time to get into it, KOF finally becomes a staple in the fighting circuit.

Training Room / Re: low low half circles motions
« on: November 24, 2011, 11:49:14 PM »
well according to the trail mode i'm going through (saiki in this example) that motion in the first post is what's asked.

i can buffer one standing one low and the 2 half circles, but for the life of me, i cannot do two low hits into the half circles. it seems i lose what i initially buffered by tacking on the second low. which is why i wonder if there's a better way to successfully do two low hits into two half circles.

;fd ;df ;dn;b
;db ;bk ;fd ;df ;dn+ ;b
;db ;bk+ ;a ;c though this may work for buffering them in. i'll try this later and hopefully this improves my consistency

Training Room / low low half circles motions

Since going to the KOF training modes, I've noticed that many of the characters have (for example)

;dn k   ;dn k   ( ;fd ;df ;dn ;db ;bk ) x2 PP in some of their BnB trial combos

is there a better way of doing this combination? i find that trying to buffer the moves while doing the half circles are either buffering into another command special or just not coming out at all. i would like to be consistent at getting this motion and not just squeaking by the trials.

Meet & Greet / Re: Good day Gentleman~

we regularly have about 40-60 people come to our get togethers that occur every two weeks. I still run smaller weeklies at my house just for giggles and extra face to face training time (a dirty dozen is the headcount here).

most of our group plays capcom fighters like sf4 and umvc3. though we also have small dedicted groups for MK9 and super turbo. every once in a while we'll dust off the ps3 for arcana heart and tekken, so we have a wide range of things that the group plays. we've been around for over two years here in Cleveland and hope to be able to keep things here interesting enough to go for more. i've been slowly drumming up interest in this kof entry for the past few months so i'm going to find out how many will be up for a tourney this weekend at our locals now that it is out.

right now i'm cooking up a bigger tournament for jan 8th at our venue and we expect to run umvc3, ae, mk, and kof. i am hoping it stays strong as kof is my personal favorite of the fighting games out there.

i absolutely expect too. This will be the first time since about 2003 I will actually sit down and learn something in KOF. as opposed to my usual fawning over KOF canon and then quitting because nobody in the vicinity wants to learn an "old" fighter :( (i.e. 2k2).

Heya DreamCancel. I am FreeSuper on xbox live and I have been a longtime fan of this series. Now with KOFXIII and the power of adequate netcode it may be time to finally level up past bleary eyed fanboy and upwards to competent fightman!

I'm from Cleveland, Oh and aim to push this game with the greatest enthusiasm to all our members here in the realworld in order to draw numbers in this great game that has the balls to not include stupid comeback mechanics. We have a group on facebook by the name of Console Combat and a website of the same name at consolecombat.net watch also hosts our stream.

We get together at a bar called the Fox and Hound in Parma every other Sunday for true fighting times. Including this Sunday 11/27. I am hoping to give KOF some good facetime on there to showcase some real nooby talent and the classiest of rolling and throwing tactics! Have at you!

Also in case anyone here does happen to be nearby. Here's the address of our venue for the google mapping. 8735 Day Drive  Cleveland, OH 44129
