Did anyone else here see Tokido's Claw Iori combo where he did 800+  off his ex grab then went into HD.. 
that was pretty sick.. and something i dun see very often in high level play

This match was simply amazing, I was sitting next to Romance's left foot when Choysauce filmed this, so epic.

Got me thinking about a lot of what-if's now.

-What if Dune and/or Ogoshoo showed up?
-What if Reynald sent BALA to losers in the semi's and faced MadKOF in finals?

Hopefull questions to be answered next year.

Well Reynalds probably should have beaten BALA in their last 16 match, the score was 1-1 and both players were down to their last characters.. but Reynalds dropped the HD combo...

I was disappointed with the guys from China, the so-called GODs of 98 clearly don't play xiii as much..

I think one of the biggest shocks is that Japan had no players in the top 8, I thought Kaoru would make it considering I saw two casual sets where he defeated Mr kof 5-0 and 5-2..

Bala really didn't do anything wrong honestly. He played his game and did everything he usually does. And he stuck with his money characters (Takuma and Shen). It really came down to MAD_KOF playing out of his mind. The dominate Bala we know was right there every bit as good as always! It's just MAD_KOF was playing at level 100 when Bala was playing at level 98. It was just a matter of someone having to lose.

What I want is to see Reynald and Romance play at that level. I know those guys are right there.

What I'm also surprised is that decent solid players like Justin Wong, Ryan Hart and ChrisG  lost both games in their pools.. I thought all 3 would make it out of their pools as winners.. unless they only went to Evo to really try hard at AE and Marvel?

I don't know much about Ryan Heart, but you can count Justin Wong out in this game. I was wondering where Combofiend was. He's actually good. I was expecting top 32 for him.

In fairness Reynalds should have beaten Madkof, it went down to wire..
yeh I think BALA played as good as he can, its just that he was so confused with who to pick as his point character..

I think Combofined lost to Dakou in the quarters..

I think BALA was put out of his comfort zone.. I didnt think even he himself would feel like this.. 
He was doing what his mate (The Answer) said u should not do, and that is keep changing after a lost.
This is a learning curve for BALA and would in the long run help his game.. I think its more mental.. cos his game is already at the top..

I think it safe to say that Madkof was indeed sandbagging at the 5v5, to get OCVed by Billy in the last match to then defeat Billy Perfect pretty much says it all.

I also think Chin was one of his main problems.. some of those games he couldn't touch him..  Chin would beat him on the ground and beat him in the air..

all in all the top 8 was so so hype, the comeback by BALA in the 8th game was the highlight for me..

wow the UK scene really is in the Dinosaur stage..

Ryan Hart has gone a step backwards as well, in a previous tournament I saw he was doing them HD combos pretty well, and here its like it was the first time he ever tried them..

And the guys talking were saying that nowhere in the world is the game being played the way it should be, lol..
They should watch a few of the level-up stuff

I've just finished watching the top 4 at CEO.. what can I say BALA is da man.. didn't drop a single game in top 4..
The match with BALA and Mago started great but BALA then took control..
I never saw the whole Romance Vs Mago cos the Stream kept messing up..
And the Grand Final I believe Romance did a ChrisG and gave up.. which is a shame..
