Seems to be an older build, since it doesn't have Billy or Saiki.

No, it's new build. There are borders of Billy's and Saiki's slots. Maybe they just didn't want them to be played because of some work on balance.

And... What the hell with that slow-motion effect?

so far, today, we learn and saw a lot of stuff :
-RSG screwed up in their trailer by saying "5 new characters that have never been in KOF before" (it's 5more chraracters that the arcade version, ON DISC)
- there will be 3DLC characters (we know only Iori 98' so far) (I heard somewhere else those DLC characters are supposed to be overpowered(at least a bit :p) ALT versions of chraracters already in the game (like Iori))
-ON DISC, 5characters more than the arcade version, so far we know Billy and Saiki.

Damn, it's really confusing. In the last sentence he emphasized "on disc", and mentioned Billy and Saiki, but not EX Iori, who considered to be in that 5 new characters...

I know I said it pages back but Im LOVING South Town and Billys Clock Tower. Very down to earth stages.

Here's hoping they bring back The Sewers, and The Park Stage (Sunny & Rainy) from '99

Rainy stage should be in the game. They even could add rain in Ash stage (ruined mansion). That'd be epic. I'm fond of Hazama's stage in BB, Rooftop in CvS 2, and of course The Park in 99.

About Saiki, he was banned from tournament because of his imbalance? Will it be always? That is, it's useless to pick up this char and just a waste, isn't?

I don't think he will be banned in the future, at least i hope not.

I think the misconception at the moment is that he is a 'boss character', whereas he is more like a 'toned down playable version' of the boss, in my opinion from what i have seen from him so far he does not seem broken or has any particular advantage over any characters.

From what i remember of the actual Boss Saiki he is not even the same.

Maybe he has some good combos from the videos i saw from EVO, but then a lot of characters have them as well.

It will be disappointing if the KOF community actually decides to ban Saiki and the DLC characters, especially in an age where other fighting game communities are allowing home version characters. 



I hope so, too.
And it's right, he wasn't that broken.
Now we mention it, was he banned on EVO console side-tournament?
Oh well, it is beta after all.

I don't think KOFXIII will have that kind of customization.

Hell, I don't think any 2D-fighter that I know does such a thing.


I know Skullgirls is rumored to allow you to let your character wear glasses, long socks instead of short, etc., but I don't see KOFXIII doing that.

KOFXIII already did that, check Yuri, Athena, Benimaru and others Color Pallets. Skullgirls is doing the same of what KOFXIII did, they just color parts of the sprite a certain way to make it look like they wear other stuff. But KOFXIII is going a bit far, they are doing Alternative outfits for the characters, such as giving Takuma his Mr. Karate mask, Raiden not wearing a mask, Original Kyo outfit, Original Elizabeth Outfit and more.

Yes, this is the only argument that may prove RSG's statement to be true.
And SNKP did great job even for arcade. I was much surprised when I saw alt outfits.

I wonder, what do they mean by "parts"? Will be there a function to attach, for example, to Slasher Iori his symbol on his back? And I think it's more than just the symbol.
It seems like another mistake from RSG, 'cause SNKP haven't told anything about it, have they?

I used octo for some time, but I learned that all japanese players mash on square (arcade default). And it's really comfortable when you get used to it.

It can be noticed in gametrailer's casual matches video. I remember Kyo saying on wake-up "Kono yaro" (You're bastard).

In my opinion, he will be dangerous in HD. Probably, he wiil have juggle in the corner with his rekka.
But overall, he is not such rushdown like Slash Iori.

It is said that there will be downloadable BGM for KoF XIII. (http://game.snkplaymore.co.jp/official/kof-xiii/download/index.html), so I think there will be an option to select BGM (maybe on Stage select screen).

All I care about is that I will enjoy the Single Player Story mode a lot, spend hrs in Color Edit and Ranking Matches. If I want to play with local friends then I just play offline with them, that is better than spectators mode.

The same. But I don't care about Online. There is poor internet in far north-east part of my country. So I'm going to gather my friends and play with them at home.
