I guess I will start off with one of my favorite color edits, Athena cosplaying as Sawako Kuronuma from Kimi ni Todoke (With gloves XD).

The replay system reminds me of Blazblue; which is a good thing, but more advanced thanks to the new Frame-by-Frame system.

Despite the lack of lobbies and spectating, I am still hoping that the netcode is at least tolerable for smooth online play.

@SilverPhoenix: I agree, if the game is released on January 2012, there wouldn't be a problem. There is a lot of hype since the announcement in E3, since then, the game got attention at Otakon and EVO.

@DarKaoZ: I would love to have EX Iori as a preorder bonus as well. That should make up for the delay. ;)

Ask yourself, have you ever heard of a PS3 game being announced for a disc release, and then Sony pulling the plug? Have you? No? That's because it's never happened. Companies don't announce disk releases and THEN go ask Sony for permission. It's the other way around.

Also, don't make up policies that don't exist. The Yakuza games were subbed.

Look, the fact is that no delay has been confirmed. If it is, it'll be to fix some glaring problem with the game that would prevent them from selling it. Something like excessive slowdown, maybe excessive loading, or perhaps netcode.

Section 8 was the first game I have heard of that was intended for a disc release for PS3. But it was canceled and later revived as a PSN game. But it was released as such for different reasons.

The policy does exist. Yakuza was released on disc, even with English subs because it took place in Japan, and they believe it would make more sense if Yakuza were Japanese voice only with subs because of the setting. The policy was most likely the reason of why Battle Fantasia and Agarest War 1 were released on PSN, as they don't have English voice overs, but Agarest War Zero is an entirely different story because they have managed to bypass it.

I understand what you mean greatly as well.

General Discussion / Re: The King of Fighters XIII Home Port Wishlist

Wow... I didn't think that dubs would be that big of a deal. Personally, English dubs isn't something that this game needs. Especially if they're gonna be as bad as the ones from KOF XII. Those were really awful.

Here is my stance on dubs:

Half of the time, the original Japanese voices suck. (Look at Yuri for example, her Japanese voice in the KOF series is annoying).

Ok now which is your problem with yuri, she never did anything to you.

Its mainly her Japanese voice, its too high pitched and annoying.

Anyway, since KOF XIII has been delayed. Will they add an English Dub? and/or add Spectator Mode? I listed English Dub because it is probable that the game is delayed because Sony most likely denied the game for a disc release the first time.

So, I guess the Announcer/Raiden's voice doesn't apply with the policy, could adding English voices for all characters solve that problem? Who knows...

1. Spectator Mode will be added
2. English/Japanese Voice overs will be added to story mode/dialogs.

You are thinking the same thing I am thinking.

Both minds come alike, huh? And my guess for the delay is that Sony most likely denied the PS3 version for a disc release the first time. Could it be because of the lack of an English Dub? or probably something else?

And while there is some spoken English in the game, that probably did not comply with the "English Dub must be required for foreign games if sold on disc" policy.

Uhh.... english dubs... is that what would brings in money? like really, will that even increase sells more than the game having good net code or being less glitchy?

Even if the game had dubs... I'm sure the dubs would have to be like dynasty warriors4+ dubs with well known voice actors or people who can bring the people to like their japanese counter part. There's no need for dubs if the dubs turn out just as bad as SB3... with characters like Masamune and Yukimura left souless.

Well, it will help newcomers understand what the characters are saying if they don't really understand Japanese. And besides, it will be annoying for newcomers if the game has only Japanese voice acting.

The Netcode; however, was a bigger complaint in XII than the voice acting, so I don't see why people would whine over voices if the netcode was actually XII's weak point.

Here is my stance on dubs:

Half of the time, the original Japanese voices suck. (Look at Yuri for example, her Japanese voice in the KOF series is annoying). But seriously, this dub bashing is getting old, and the only people that hate dubs are those that watch subs, you guys really need to get used to a dub, even if it is bad.

What this game needs in a future update is a good English dub, and judging from the KOF XIII pre-order sales, that might happen. While I do respect those that like subs, I prefer dubs more.

There is a reason of why Japanese games have a voice language option, so you can switch to the original Japanese voices if you don't want to use the English voices, but people like me will keep the voices to English.

And while I do like subs, they happen to suck half of the time, so in my stance:

Fuck subs, live with a dub. (Counter to MUSOLINI's "Fuck a dub, live with subs")

Another Oklahoma player? Awesome!

It looks like Oklahoma seems to be gathering KOF players now.

That aside, welcome to Dream Cancel!

Any words about if story mode is fully voiced?

I really hope that myself, it wouldn't be story mode without voice overs.

Also, that is a really cool intro. The company that did the anime scenes really did a great job.

It's pretty stupid to cancel pre-orders over these characters. We're getting an improved version with new characters, challenges and story mode and what appears to be a robust online system. I cannot understand how people can be upset over that.

Yes, I don't see why people should cancel preorders over characters they don't want, certain features removed (Like Spectator Mode), etc.

I wouldn't put too much stock in that remaining on-disc character left to reveal, either.

I guess we are not getting a non-ex or new character.

Not to mention that he quoted my post in the Atlus forums. lol

News update from Frionel:

An official announcement of the publisher is expected to arrive next week to deny that shit.

I can tell you one thing: the arts exist, but the document's author probably had no idea why and how.

I can tell you formally that the information on these characters and the price that was given is completely false.

It was not until the official announcements before rave.

Thank you :)
