Messages - Mature

While I don't mind the eyepatch, Mature definitely needs her classic dress back and they need to fix her sprite's busted face.
Pants look unsuiting on her since her legs were supposed to be the thing she shows off, and her homage to Marilyn Monroe is nearly gone.
Plus, the pantsuit is just completely uninspiring and dull. They could have at least kept the vest on the jacket.
I hope in the next KOF she has the dress back, Vice can keep the pantsuit; just add the vest to it so it's not boring as hell.

Both the blob look like females to me...The one on the right has a cap on and the left blob look like she (?) has long hair hm......What if they both are brand new characters? lol

Yup.. That's why I was thinking it was Hinako. Her cap and hair fit the silhouette, though I honestly doubt it's her even if I wouldn't mind her at all. I really hope they reveal these characters soon and they aren't just more over-powered, lame EX characters.

When I look at those silhouettes, all I can see are Hinako and May Lee... I really wonder who they actually are.

sports team is ass, no thanx for bland looking characters.

I have to agree.
They're probably the worst team in KOF history, I personally hope they never return.

I was gonna go to the site to vote but I can't work the "Quick Reply"(?) crap. :(

Sorry Mary, Whip, Adel

I'll add your votes if those are the three you want.

Maybe this is the story they really wanted to use and were not able to use do to characters missing in the Arcade version. :) Now that they can add B. Jenet they can change the story, or this can be in like a parallel universe.

Damn I just want B. Jenet in the game T_T

I saw on Twitter that there was a character voting thread in Atlus's KOFXIII forums.

She's doing pretty well popularity wise.

That doesn't look like an official poll thou.
Oh, I know that. But if Atlus is going to be taking information and feedback to SNKP, they're likely going to do it from their forums so voting in that thread can help in some way.

Nowhere in The King of Fighters XIII does it outright state the two had died or were resurrected or even mentions them as ghosts and/or spectres.

Their prologue states that they decided to return to Iori because of his failure to protect Orochi's power.
Here is the rest of the conversation I posted above:

Iori: “… What are talking about?”
Mature: “After Kagura, it was Yagami’s turn… It seems even you were tricked, weren’t you?  Deceived by that Ash Crimson boy!”
Vice: “And on top of that, it looks like his strange associates are aiming at Orochi’s power. You know, the ones who call themselves 'those from the distant land'”
Iori: “… Whatever, I don’t care”
Mature: “That sure sounds like you. Because, all you ever care about is yourself, right?”
Vice: “However, it does matter to us. We can’t let it happen!”
Mature: “We can’t possibly allow Orochi’s power to be helplessly exposed, now can we?”
Vice: “And that’s why we came back.”

Without any notion of resurrection and the two saying they chose to return, it hardly sounds like they were dead at all.

Continuing the story conversation of Mature and Vice from he OT3:

Vice and Mature are Dead, so says so in the KOFXIII Iori Team Story. Their sprites also have a "Ghostly" color pallet, making reference to it. If that is not enough, Iori Team ending in XIII has them as ghoslt pictures talking to Iori when he is making the choice in picking up his flames again or not.

The spectre pallettes could be taken as seriously as the cosplay ones could be, simply just there to poke fun at their speculated death and disappearance. It also never states in the Yagami Team's story that they were indeed dead.
Also, in their ending I suppose you could interpret their appearances as looking "ghostly"; but we all know ghosts can't physically harm people ~ which they obviously can.
I interpret the ending as Mature and Vice doing their signature "fading into the shadows" as they bid Iori adieu until "the next full moon" which they've done previously.

SNKP stated they were "left for dead" and subsequently went "missing" after Iori's rampage, they most likely purposely keep Mature and Vice shrouded in mystery with Iori saying things like “… What business do dead-like people have with me?” and having their prologue mention that "Vice and Mature, both are supposed to have been killed at Iori’s own hands." It was never officially stated the two had died and there is absolutely no mention of them being resurrected in their KOFXIII stories, just nods to their abilities to appear and disappear at will.

Vice: “Originally we weren’t planning to come out.”
Iori: “Then, why are you here?”
Mature: “Well, I wonder why… Could it be because you were disappointing beyond expectations?”

If they were indeed killed, SNKP would have just outright stated that; which they didn't. So using in-game statements and events, I think it's fairly safe to assume that the two were indeed left for dead -as officially stated- and not actually killed, but simply withdrew until they were needed.

the KoF community on gametrailers disappoints me greatly

What did they do?
seems to me like none of em really know what the hell they are talking about, got into some small argument with some guy about vice and mature being back in kof XIII i was trying to explain to him that both vice and mature were both dead (even posted a video of iori's '96 ending to show him proof) he tells me that the ending wasn't cannon since both of them are back in XIII he then goes on to place a bunch of un-needed emphasis on mature eyepatch saying that she must have just gotten hurt and snk wouldn't have gave it to her just for design. that and they believe snk will charge us out the wazoo for dlc which i find funny cause they haven't announced an other characters outside of flame iori
Actually, Mature and Vice were never confirmed to have been killed. They were simply stated as "missing" after Iori's attack.
I think Mature's eyepatch is significant in some way, why resurrect her with a random eyepatch? But I'm not looking to deep into it.

I think it's pretty obvious that Mature and Vice are more than simply human since they materialized from shadows seemingly from nowhere upon their introduction and have since done so numerous times. Plus the rest of the Hakkeshu seem to have normal lives outside of their duties to Orochi, but these two don't appear to.

Anyway, I'm rambling.. But yeah, they were never confirmed to be dead, just missing.
