Beezlemon:  Not sure if I played you last time at GU.  I was the guy who ran the first half of the brackets.

Yeah I think you were the one that beat me in my first game.

I was at the GU tournament on Dec 17.  Got completely annihilated in the kof tournament.  Can't say I'll be there next time since it's hard to get there from boston without a car but I may check out the place in dedham one of these days.

People are just too hopeful that SNKP will go the way of capcom and do all these big things like having a community manager for the US or constantly updating fans on their latest game development.  That all pretty much went out the window when they lost Ignition as a publisher.  It's best to just get in the mindset that SNKP are just like any obscure fighting game developer.  Meaning you're going to have to do the work if you want their games to get recognized.

Couldn't think of a place to ask this that really gets that much traffic, but has the AI crew thought about talking to the people running NorCal Install or any of the other NorCal or SoCal tourneys about getting any KoF onto them whether as a main game or a Side Tourney? Trying to get involved in events like that can help show that KoF has a dedicated scene and make getting XIII into EVO easier.

They did that for the norcal/socal regionals.

Even Mad Max showed absolutely no loyalty towards SNKp.  Every chance he got he totally bashed them which is normally fine since SNKp's handling of KOFXII deserved it but being a mod for the ignition forums you would think he'd be a bit more professional about it.  If Ignition doesn't even stick up for SNKp then obviously there's no reason to work with them again.  Which was a shame since it seemed like Shane was really into promoting KOF.

General Discussion / Re: KOF XIII at EVO 2011

Main event or not as long as it's somewhere in evo I'd definitely try my hardest to make it.

In regards to insulting other communities, that's just stupid and childish.  Games like Melty Blood may have gotten their start from hardcore MB players but it's the players from other games that help get these new games some attention.  You don't get people from other fighting games to join you by insulting their game of choice.

Here in NY, CTF has yet to get it and quite frankly, I feel as if that place the last few years pretty much disregard anything that is not Capcom related when it comes to fighters. Which is a shame since a lot of players here are dying to play the game.

Do people ask constantly when CTF is going to get it?  Like ask the people who run it?  That would be pretty huge if we can find a way for east coast players to have access to the game.

I just deleted the game.

Maybe it would be easier to put it on your twitter instead of making the exact same post here and on srk.

I would suggest befriending anyone you come across who you have a decent connection with for now.  Also for people sharing their experience with the online, please state whether you're on wireless or ethernet and whether you have anyone else using your internet at the same time.  I hope my experience with the online is decent when I get a chance to try it out.

Did the slight change in the dropkick make a big enough difference at the arcades?

Not sure where that came from anyway. Because the scrubs will complain about infs in MvC2 too. The reason Marvel gets played are numerous; Made by Capcom, Marvel license, easy to pick up and play, fanboys, its been played for about a decade. Your analogy is pretty flawed.

I have no clue what you took from my argument but I was pointing out that people played MvC2 regardless of its flaws but those same people(even the ones who know how to play the game well) from what I've seen in random threads in SRK bash KOF games for their infinites and random bugs.  I was saying that this mentality of being loyal to a certain game brand is what is hindering the USA snk scene.

What analogy did you think I was making because I don't see how it applies to what you just said?

And BTW, 'they' don't take the US seriously not because of this stuff, they don't mainly because the US isn't that great at KOF. =/

One reason the US snk scene is lacking is because so many morons go on playing MvC2 and yet bash kof because of a kof video showing an infinite... like seriously?  You would think they'd be complaining that the game didn't have enough infinites.

I'm fairly new to KOF so there's still a lot for me to learn but I would love to make KOF13 my main fighting game once it comes out.
