I discovered this yesterday with Daimon (c->hcb,f+AC -> hcf+A): http://youtu.be/YYC2-A3mPQw

Also old, it was in the arcade version as well.  The very first Chinese combo video had him doing that then he would do three df.C after that for timing's sake.

Ahhh, didn't keep up with the arcade version much so didn't know that.

Strange how it happens though, can't figure out the reason for it causing the bounce. (And for not fixing it.)

Will have to try throwing in the uppercuts though, thanks.

Appears that at some point in that air grab attack (or more likely it's due to that particular set up) there's a dodgey hitbox, causes the opponent to 'bounce' instead of being plucked out of the air.

Doesn't always happen, but if your timing is bad (like me) it can be a little worrying.

Also does not appear to be opponent character specific (tested against flame iori, claw iori, raiden, and i think i tried kyo too.)

Kuso, thanks for having the guts to try out DLC Iori at the MCM, unlike most of the other bozos that just used their regular characters.

No probs, I had fun using him and I knew people wanted to see more footage of him so I spent most of my time trying to test him out.

I also picked Saiki as well in my semi finals match against MichelS, but for some reason it doesn't seem to be saved into the archived video. =_=

but can he DC from the regular grab on HD mode now?

As far as I could tell the cancel into his super is only possible with the EX grab-> elbow, I don't think the normal grab has any cancel properties.

Kuso was puling of that new Clark supercancel (wonder if it works outside the corner).

It works anywhere on the screen, the elbow drop puts them into grab range.

Sorry can you guys not talk about Cris' personal life on here, regardless what you know, or what you have heard it's not cool to converse about people's private life on a public board.

About Saiki, he was banned from tournament because of his imbalance? Will it be always? That is, it's useless to pick up this char and just a waste, isn't?

I don't think he will be banned in the future, at least i hope not.

I think the misconception at the moment is that he is a 'boss character', whereas he is more like a 'toned down playable version' of the boss, in my opinion from what i have seen from him so far he does not seem broken or has any particular advantage over any characters.

From what i remember of the actual Boss Saiki he is not even the same.

Maybe he has some good combos from the videos i saw from EVO, but then a lot of characters have them as well.

It will be disappointing if the KOF community actually decides to ban Saiki and the DLC characters, especially in an age where other fighting game communities are allowing home version characters.

Some videos from yesterday and rambling from me.

Was quite happy to make top 8 considering pretty much the only practice i had was the iPod/iPhone version lol.

Any ideas if the 360 version would be region free ?

Thinking of asking my cousin to help me import so i can get that cd, and as the US 360 version has a different cover would probably make more sense to go for that one...Though would be a pain in the ass if it's region locked.

I doubt it, with 360 they  will not make a game region free unless is region exclusive, and still with that tons of times they are still region lock

btw, I'm sad that I will never had those pre-order cd's : (

Cheers, i think i'll ask her to pre-order me the ps3 one just in case then.
Think it would drive me mad looking at a 'this game does not work in your region' type message D:

The garou stick is pretty good, i own one as well and use it as one of my main sticks.

I always wondered why AES owners preferred the Neo stick and after playing on one for the past year i can understand why.

Spent most of this afternoon putting together a little combo video for Billy Kane, nothing too complicated just a few small combos and cancels, once i start trying to learn HD combos (unlikely on the touch screen LOL) then maybe i'll update it again.

I've tried it a couple of times, so far it doesn't seem like it does cancel projectiles. (Actually quite difficult to force cpu to do fireballs xD)

There isn't a variation of it, not even an EX version as far as i can tell.

Something kinda interesting (non gameplay-wise) i discovered whilst trying this out though is if you keep doing his senpuukon eventually he does a little animation at the end. (Has recovery, but looks quite cool.) I'll try to remember to video it when i get home.

Yeah his f+K (the pole vault) puts the opponent into juggle state, you can follow up with a d+P or special move.

I tried to do his hcf+P against King's fireball but it doesn't cancel out projectiles as far as i can tell.

Was about to post this on my blog but i'll cross post it here also, some stuff i've figured out with Billy so far. Nothing too complex, just easy stuff.

- Standing P (3 hits) -> hcf+P (f+S) ~ qcf+P (S) 175 Damage

- Crouching K -> crouching K -> dp+K (dwnF+S) -> qcb+P (b+S) 184 Damage

- Standing P (3 hits) -> f+K -> qcb+P (b+S) 192 Damage

- Crouching K -> f+P -> crouching K -> f+P 198 Damage

- [Corner] standing P (3 hits) -> f+K -> dp+K (dwnF+S) -> qcf, hcb+P (tap gauge) 389 Damage

- [Corner] standing P (3 hits) -> f +K -> dp+K (dwnF+S) -> qcb+P (b+S) -> [Super Cancel] qcf,hcb+P (tap gauge) 404 Damage (or 422 Damage depending on timing of cancel)

- Standing P (1 or 2hits) -> dp+K (dwnF+S) -> Neomax (Tap character portrait) 463 Damage

- Standing P (3 hits) -> f +K -> NeoMax (Tap character portrait) 516 Damage
