Have any of you got any tips against Andy? I can point out what most of my problems are, most of it involves random crossups to meterless BnB and eating random tackles. The most I can think of is to AA when possible to stop crossups. Are his tackles punishable at all? I think the light ones are safe if spaced right.

But the thing I'd like to know most is how to take advantage of knockdown against Andy. I know Andy has a DP, but what are the best ways to bait it and when do I know I can safely bait it? Also, a good punisher would be great, I'm using Ryo on point, so maximizing one bar of meter midscreen would be the best answer for me.

As for Ryo in general, I find this character to be really fun, I'm surprised more people don't use him. Kohkens feel almost OP if used right.

Ah, the video I saw had j.C>cr.C>HD>cr.C>df+D>Double Strike, would that make any difference? Or just does it not work off of the slide at all anymore?

There was another combo I had trouble with, but I'll have to pop in the game to see what the combo is and where the trouble lies (I think its similar to what the other guy had, but in an HD combo).

Is it possible to land a Tornado Kick after something like df+D>Double Strike? I saw it somewhere but I haven't gotten it to work, and the video may have been oldish.

I was about to post that video. A quick look at the combo, I got something like:

HCF+P > DP+P (1 hit) > (DC) >214+PP > Dash Under > j.f+LK > j.214D > j.f+LKx3 > j.214D > (DC) > 214+PP > j.f+LK x5 > j.214D > HCBx2+P

Hope its right, I'm not too familiar with Athena but I've picked her up recently, and this loop is pretty awesome.

I dunno if it still works or not, but I can't get the EX Dynamite Punch to come out after the A Hurricane Upper (combo list on the SRK wiki says its the A version, though I don't think that f.B goes into A Hurricane Upper either, unless its done late?).

But yes I agree on keep playing Joe, for my name's sake.

For a simple HD combo that I was trying to do with Mature, I've noticed a lot of notations will say QCB+P(7)x3 or something similar. But I can't seem to HD cancel the move into itself, which I'm sure I can't. I've noticed her QCB+K move looks like the third hit of the rekka, so if I do something like QCB+Px3 HC QCB+K repeat, am I doing it wrong all together and thus ruining my damage output? (I can record something quick if it helps to understand). If I remember correctly, doing that combo from j.C>C>etc into QCB,HCF+K to Neomax only got me slightly over 620 damage.

If anyone has better ideas for HD combos, I'd like to see them, honestly I'm  bad at trying to pick up combos from videos (but I'll try nonetheless).

Since I've recently taken a liking to the character, I'd like to know of a good placement for her on my team as well. From my small experience she needs some meter but she also doesn't seem to thrive off of it either (meter helps everyone for sure, duh). The other characters I am using are Joe and King, and maybe I can use her on point, or maybe second?

I was encouraged to do so, so here we have another person to support the KOF XIII scene in the US.

My first fighter and one of my first games was Art of Fighting, and thus King is my favorite character probably of all time. I guess its time to get back to the roots when the game comes out right?
