It's not that much of an issue once u get used to it. The trick is to not let go of the stick, pause the stick at  for the as you hit  , then just roll the stick to  or to  . Letting go of the stick have a very high chance the game would register a  ending in a DM drive cancel.

I think you mean HD mode vs Drive Cancel, since Max cancel requires you to be in HD mode anyway. For Terry I believe Drive canceling is very  worth it since you can cancel into crack shot after seeing a burn knuckle hit first follow by ex rising tackle or qcfx2 K.
