great show, guys. Since Evo I've never been more excited to be a KOF player. I've loved the series for a long time, have played the series for a long time - but I've never been very good at it, to be honest. Before now I've never really felt like it's actually possible that this series is going to become something bigger and better than a little niche thing that most people ignore, and it's bloody exciting! Makes me want to level up even more, before I get too badly exposed for my lack of skill

I'm a stick player, but I recently got a Hori Fighting Commander 3 Pro for my birthday, because using stick at night disturbs my partner's sleep due to the noise, and I'm up all night w our new baby all the time now. It's *great* - easily the best pad I've ever used in my life, although I will say this - playing KOF on it is a real pain for me, I have a hard time being accurate with my jumps and hops on anything but a stick, but that's probably not the pad's fault so much as my ineptness with pad. Using the Dual Shock 3 makes me want to throw the thing across the room, this one's soooo much better!

Meet & Greet / hey everyone @ DC :)

totally new to the forum, although I've lurked around on the main site for a while...finally thought I'd register.
My name is Jay, I'm from Belleville, Ontario, Canada. Not much of a fighting game scene here.
I've been playing fighting games since SF1 (actually since Karate Champ if that counts) although I'm hardly any good at them. For whatever reason, I'm a lot better at Street Fighter (not that i'm good, but i've just had more opportunity to play it, perhaps) and yet KOF is my favorite...98 and 98um in particular
i hang around #snkplaymore sometimes, and play GGPO as well, when I can (have to use my gf's computer to do so, so i can't play as often as i'd like.)
really want to level up my KOF game, especially 98, and if you'd like to help me to do that, let me know and we can maybe play on GGPO sometime, when I'm feeling well enough (i have chronic fatigue syndrome and so often my concentration is completely shot, but when it isn't i like to play)
i generally just mess around using anyone, but my main team is EX Andy/Benimaru/Kim, although sometimes Kensou finds his way in there...would also like to learn Blue Mary, she's fun.
