Training Room / Which KoF to start practicing in?
« on: July 19, 2011, 05:09:16 AM »
I have played and own almost all the KoF's. However playing casually against friends who don't really play fighters alot or playing those who don't play KoF enough. Trying to figure out what would be a good starting point since XIII is just around the corner. Which version is similar to XIII execution wise because mine is really iffy. Also trying to get a few friends more into the game.

Whats up guys? Kinda new to the KoF scene however I have been playing KoF for years casually. KoF has always been fun to me because something fresh is bought to every new iteration. The Dreamcast is one of my favorite systems because of its godly arcade perfect gameplay when it comes to fighting games. I think Kof 98 Dreamatch, 99 Evolution and 2000 being my all time favorite KoF's. As for other fighting games I have played a ton of them over the years (SF, Tekken, GG, Soul Calibur series, BlazBlue others). When KoF XII was released on console i felt a new urge to play them again and this time take my game to the next level. So i picked it up along with the Bradygames guidebook and started to play it. To my dismay i felt the game was a flop no storyline, low amount of moves, small roster, bad online the list goes on. I recently discovered GGPO and started reliving my KoF days over the net. The experience was good but i felt i lacked the knowledge to take my game further. Now that Kof XIII is being released soon I feel its my duty to get better, expand my knowledge and also help the community to grow. I definitely know KoF has a bright future ahead of itself because XIII like the others before XII were super solid and fun.
