General Discussion / Looking for a Training Parnter
« on: October 04, 2016, 12:16:40 AM »
I've had this game for quite sometime now and it seems that it is easier, but there are certain things that aren't as easy as it seems to me.  Like I know i'm inputting my buttons for my combos, but I'm not getting them.  Instead I'm getting the special before anything.   For instance Kyo's df+d is something that I can't get to link to the cr.a, cr.b confirm.   What am I doing wrong.  Overall I'm looking for someone to train with and improve my gameplay. m I'm planning on being quite strong by the time the next major i hit in the upcoming months.   So if you willing to train with a newbie and is brand new let me know something.    My psn is GAFGC_Shinrock.  So just hit me up there.

Training Room / Best Button layout
« on: November 24, 2015, 09:47:05 AM »
I just recently bought a stick and was wondering what would be the best button layout for this game.  I noticed in other games it's better to position the buttons accordingly;E.G. Guilty Gear Accent Core +R.   However, I was wondering how you guys have your buttons set.   Just curious because as of right now I play on the default setting, but I do know that I prefer a layout similar to Six button style of SF.   However, this isn't SF and is another beast in itself known as KOF.  All opinions are and will be valued as I test them all. :)

I'm currently in search of some training partners in the game. This way I can steadily improve my gameplay within this beast known as kofxiii

What's up people.  How are you all doing?  I'm here on this forum for the same reason as a lot of you are.  To share and at the same time learn tech from each other.  All the while growing the community and showing the world that our love for the SNK Fighters are still strong.  With that being said I'm looking for more people to game with whether it be on Fightcade, XBL, or PSN(although I'm still working on that one).  Needless to say I'm very into the series, but I need help improving my game and understanding how chaining and links work in this game compared to Street Fighter.   So how would you recommend a SF player to go about trying to learn how to play KOF or any SNK fighters properly?
