I think people believe rushing down Raiden is silly because this game has strong offensive play and they fear getting in Raiden's face.  I'd like to know what people who stand against getting in Raiden's face would recommend.  You can't run away from Raiden because then he can freely charge up without having to worry about blocking anything.  At least by rushing him down you can attempt to break open his defense.  It's like people want to back away from him because of attacking being a risk and Raiden's sheer damage output.  Duo Lon can't just sit back and use far pokes all day. 

But if you run away you're making it easier for him so...

Why would you want to ban Tung or Jyazu or Silber?  Geese is strong but eh.  The tops I get since the game sucks on balance and the tops dominate even harder because of it.

nah, your wrong. the reason it looks like this is because they are the ones that constantly keep attacking, blocking opponents or opponents getting hit is your bar building extra quickly. when your the one on the receiving end your bars also fill slowly. you have to attack to build bar, and the top tiers attack better. even during hits they get more bar because they can use more normals, command normals and special attacks during 1 combo without using dc or dm bar. for example, terry can only do s.C, df+C, qcb+A as a combo without using meter. on the other hand k, kula, lizzy, kyo & andy can use more than that to combo, thus building more bar.  k as example, s.C, f+A, qcf+A, f+D, qcb+B or B, again qcb+B or D, dp+C, D. all this in 1 combo without using bar, shits unfair.

im also thinking using ioris command grab during combos might fill more bar, as it could potentially let you fdo more specials without using the dc or dm bar. ask the people playing though.
I thought at first everyone was going to burning meter for big damage but things didn't work out that way. Everyone in XIII got new juggles but it just came down to superior tools. Like K's example vs Leona who can now do crBX2>overhead>special/V-Slasher.   K' still have the superior tools under his belt.

One of my major gripes is Liz and her damn juggles and her ultra safe moves.  K's midscreen juggles are a bit much but Liz is crazy shit. No one should be getting juggles like that for no meter.

I would say make the characters do (non meter)combos like whatever>command normal>special ender but then that'll homogenized the game and we'll get something like SSFIV and everything being jab jab jab>whatever.

Raiden's Drop Kick is retarded.  In version 1.0 he had the fastest non meter way to kill anyone. And on top of that it does about 60% guard bar damage.  I would say have SNKP rework some of the damage on some moves and rework damage scaling.

I forgot one thing: Iori.  This dude CANNOT get a knockdown without burning meter.  WTF.  I'm not even asking for an untechable KD here.  Why can't get he get a knockdown midscreen?  Everyone else in the game can do it.

Why would anyone ban Jyazu and Silber? You got stomped that hard?

I always had the feeling that people would ban Kula but they don't say anything because she's in the arcade version.  Which is why people are so adamant about banning EX Kyo.  Not in the arcade version and stomps a large chunk of the cast easily.  Stress stress stress.  EX Kyo is beast and a decent amount of characters are rather weak this time around.  People just don't want to deal with him which is understandable.

They are the BB players.  Or they were last I heard.

There is literally no KOF life in Florida. But there is a lan center where we go to play BB and SSF4(Zero Ping). Most likely the guys there will start a XIII scene when its released on console.
I know about Zero Ping.  It's not too far from me but I don't have a car.  I used to play there with Ben and some other GG people a ways back.  We parted ways and I don't keep in touch with them anymore.  I figured you may or may not be too far from me when I saw your location.

Yeah, I got SSFIV players in my area.  But last I checked they laughed when I asked if they played KOF.

If they rebalance the game it's whatever.  I guess people will finally stop crying so much. You'll get the variety you crave so much.  I can understand.  Unless you got offline comp for these recent KOFs like 02UM and XIII, you're left looking like a fool for banking on unreliable netcode.  So all you're left with is uploaded matches.  Playing laggy matches and VS CPU can only last so long.

If you got offline comp(like the AI peeps/other players), you're lucky as Hell.  As for me, looks like I might have yet another (SNKP)title sitting in my collection gathering dust.  I guess that's why I don't even care.  It doesn't have any effect on me at all.  The ratio system and rebalancing?  Doesn't mean a damn thing without competition.

Well with the facebook account I can always send it to SNK/Playmore JP/USA to show them how many people want KOF XIII@EVO and maybe they can work something out with the EVO staff.
Evo staff wants numbers.  No one who runs a tournament will host a game that doesn't have numbers to back it. Like I said in the GD thread,  it doesn't matter how many people WANT KOF at Evo.  What matters is how many people are going to show up.    KOF players need to be at Evo, not signing their names saying they want it at Evo.

Apparently you are confused as to how tournaments work. 

It doesn't matter how many people WANT KOF at Evo.  What matters is how many people show up.  Tournaments need numbers.  If KOF is to be at Evo, KOF players need to be at Evo.  I'm tired of these "rally the troops" thread.  They don't do anything.  If you are going to have a list of people, it better a list of people guaranteed to show up.

Instant overhead>V-slasher was SEXY.  Duo Lon is one my favorite characters to see fight.  When he RTSD it's awesome.  I am loving Vice in XIII and I usually don't give a damn about her.  Favorite grappler in XII by far.

If you've been following the vids then you know Dune plays K'. Don't bother watching if it bothers you that much.

Been watching some videos.  Takuma no glitch is still nasty.  The Raiden now is interesting.  He's doing things he could do all along but never before. It's cool to see Raiden being played while not banking on Drop Kicks 24/7.   Also some other characters pop up like Athena/Terry/Chin/Hwa/Kim/Andy but I guess that doesn't matter because K' and Raiden is there.  Didn't know variety meant not seeing the best characters at all...

1)"No one" uses her because she isn't high enough on the tier list aka doesn't dominate hard enough.  You see K' all over the place.  Look him up in XI.  He's B tier IIRC and he hardly shows up.  She's not weak.  Just not strong enough to be seen in popular numbers.

2)King is not like her 02UM self.  She would be high tier maybe top if she was. No unblockable, no double Venom Strike special, no overhead etc.  Less options, less effective character too.
