Trying to make  sense of this combo on the Wiki:

cr.B×2/st.C~f+B, [HD] st.C, f+B, dp+C, [dp+A, (HDC) qcf+K/qcf+AC, qcf+C×1~2]×3~4, dp+A×2, j.C, qcf hcb+P

Not sure what "qcf+K/qcf+AC" means, and would prefer to know exactly whether it's 1 or 2, 3 or 4. Knowing how many meters this combo requires is pretty important.

Awesome, Mr. Masteroth! Those combos have been added to the wiki.

Personally, I think the combo section of the wiki should give people an idea of what the character can do, rather than just list the ideal combo they should do under various meter requirements. So, until the combo section starts to get clunky to navigate, I don't think we need to delete anything yet.

General Discussion / Re: Tier List
« on: December 14, 2011, 10:51:19 PM »
No amount of argument is ever going to stop people from making tier lists for a fighting game.

If you think it's three months too early, or two weeks too early, or whatever; I suggest ignoring this thread until that time.

From this point forward, PLEASE avoid all discussion of the pros and cons of tier lists. People are allowed to discuss them if they want to.

I never bought any of the DLC characters (they looked great, but I couldn't justify the price).

I'll probably pick this up once it drops in price a bit.

Hello John, and welcome to DC!

I've actually liked most recent Capcom fighters, although (on this forum) I may be in the minority.  ;)  KOF XIII is definitely a game I take more seriously.

If you're just starting out with KOF, you may find it a bit strange at first. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask!

Welcome, BouncingSoul!

I hope the site helps you reach a level you consider competitive. Who's on your current team?

Welcome to DC!

I hope you can make your arcade a reality someday, but, until then, have fun learning XIII.  :)

Dandy DLC offers some training mode tips and tricks. This is mainly for beginners, but definitely has some great information.

2. In the arcade version, his command throw couldn't be canceled at all. The EX version left the opponent in a crumble state, so you could keep a combo going, but the throw itself couldn't be canceled.

1. Those are all the console changes SNK told us about. But they also said there might be other changes they didn't talk about.

Is there any consensus on what the best HD combo starter is?

cl. D, f+A, or just cl.C, seem the easiest to input.

cl. D, df+C does more damage in longer combos, I believe.

I was just playing some today. The game paired with a player from France with one-bar connection. That wasn't fun.

Then I played a FT10 with someone else as a player match. Great games with a smooth connection.

Welcome to DC!  :)

Not sure where in Oklahoma you're from, but our administrator (Nilcam) is also from OK. If you could ever meet up, I'm sure he'd help you level up your game.

Welcome to DC, SNKOF!

Nice to find another fan of KOF 2006. Definitely an underrated KOF. Did you ever get a chance to play Regulation A? Pretty much just a more balanced version of 2006, but missing all the great fanservice of the original (vs. Metal Slug missions, alternate costumes, classic BGMs). If SNK is never going to give us Maximum Impact 3, maybe instead they could just give us Maximum Impact UM with Regulation A's combat and 2006's content. Wishful thinking.  :(

How did you play the Samurai Shodown RPG? Neo CD or Saturn? I've always wanted to try it.

I like ice cream too.  :) Although I might actually prefer milk shakes.

Anyway, welcome to DC! Hope we can help you learn the game. Where are you from?

Welcome, Blindside!  :)

I also need to take the plunge and purchase a fightstick. I'm just too indecisive. What kind did you go with? And why?
