Don't know if anyone else has heard these, but they're pretty good overall.

^Somewhat related to what you said, did anyone know that CafeID has some TTT2 players in their ranks?

My understanding is that several of them play it and that they hold some sort of Ranbat style tournaments with some well known Korean Tekken players such as Knee and JDCR.

Though it still isn't that big for them I don't think, at least not compared to large parts of Korea.

Sie Kensou / Re: Sie Kensou Match Up Thread

Does anybody have any tips for dealing with some characters like Andy in regards to "hit and run" type tactics, since against this strategy I tend to struggle and never know if I should play it safe and back off and wait for an opportunity or to go after them and try to get more pressure on them.

Black Lagoon is kinda cool, got some nice action and characters, is pretty worth while overall and is better than most of these other shoot 'em up crazy action shows that are around IMO.

It's articles like this that prove why eventhubs should never be taken seriously.

Anyways heres a nice new video showing off some nice tag assault possibilities with a general ranking of each character and their tag assault damage output.

General Fighting Game Discussion / Re: FGC Drama
December 07, 2012, 10:15:23 PM
I don't think drama is good for the communtiy since it really seems most of the time to be like some stupid WWE nonsense where two or more people feud with each other until people get tired of it and move on to the next bitch fight and in the end it doesn't really contribute to the community as a whole and can end up breaking apart parts of the community. While I do think things like rivalries between players can be a good thing ie: Bala vs. MadKOF as this actually showcases the game and draws people in to watch the game opposed to the peripheral nonsense like back and forth comments or any of the other annoying things you get with all this drama.

So what's been going on with this game now that all the character have been released?

Are people still bitching about Dr. B's butt slide?
Dr. B's slide really has only been an issue online, since if you know what you're doing it's fairly easy to deal with, it's only when you're facing someone who's got a garbage connection and there are lag spikes that it's problematic.

Also i've been wondering if anyone around here has got their own team or is on a team?

Seems kinda interesting, though if it turns out like all the other matchup tournaments like this that i've seen before the results will end up being fairly predictable.

So... no news yet on the remaining DLC characters?

Harada has tweeted that some of them will be released some time this month. Will probably be Dr. B, Unknown and Violet.
It would be pretty disappointing if it's just the wide release of the pre-order characters.

Anyone seen the Wii U trailer for TTT2?

Tekken Tag Tournament 2 - Wii U New York ComicCon Trailer

I wanna get this version just for the awesome costumes!

I remember seeing this trailer back when they first showed the costumes and was kinda impressed and laughed a bit about them  :)

Anyways this video is just so screwed up it has to be posted here

Well I can't exactly speak for the female population but I think it sometimes has to do with playing as a strong female character like Chun Li opposed to just any female charater and it's not just "I only play as female characters because I'm a girl." cause from my impression at least girls will play a character like Chun Li but not a character like Ivy who is clearly just there cause of her tits and stuff like that.

Also i've met and know of male players who only play as male characters and won't play as female characters so this isn't just a "girl thing" (for lack of a better term) and applies to everyone.

With free KOF 13 maybe we'll get more close players to play with.  That'll be nice.

That was my exact thought.. Can't wait. Btw how does this thing work? Does Sony pay companies to get games free for psn plus users?

EDIT: On second thought the ppl getting the game now will be ultra casuals. I bet every FGfan has KOF XIII in his collection already.

From what I was told, Sony pays them say 50-100 grand up front for the game being on sale.  It gives SNK money, and exposure.  Will SNK make more money if they sold the game?  Possibly, but this is guaranteed money from doing this.  Not as much if they sold those copies themselves, but any cash influction is good if it doesn't even require work.

Also it helped Gearbox immensely.  They gave away Borderlands earlier and they made even more money off of it.  Not just from the bulk sales, but from getting people who never saw borderlands get it for free and then make them want Borderlands 2.  It was a great promotion and probably helped Gearbox get an extra stack of sales for Borderlands 2.

Makes sense. Plus it will give the chance to 3D lovers (tekken, virtual fighter etc) to try a solid 2D fighter. It is only US that gets XIII for free so it will help it grow and set a good ground for an upcoming sequel or something. Anyway as long as SNKp benefits from something I am happy.

I think almost everyone who is into any fighter has either already played XIII or isn't interested in it and that the vast majority of people who get the game via playstation plus aren't really gonna play it seriously at all or even for very long given the model of playstation plus and it's stream of new content. Although it could help push sales of some of the Neogeo Station games, DLC content or future releases.
