I'm looking into annotations. I don't know anything about them. And, as someone very new to 2002UM, I wouldn't be very sure about what notes to make on most characters.

Maybe a few of us here can help, we can just watch and point out whatever is going on from our understanding like:

1:24: trying to connect whatever move from whatever move
1:42: this is combo is, C, F+A, qcb+b
2:32: this move is an overhead, has invincibility frames etc

Then from there you can just copy and paste them according to the right time in the annotations?

EDIT: 2002UM templates for Yamazaki, and Takuma are up and are waiting more detail and information. :)

Actually I still keep in contact with them regularly. I've played them individually twice since August. We are all trying to find time for us three play at once. lol They live 2 states away but still came. Even with how busy they are. :3 I just haven't tried to ask around for casual sessions because it's off season now. Nobody is here anymore. lol

Oh thats cool man. Do y'all play online on GGPO or 2002UM on XBL?

Dark Geese: Is neo-geo hardware easy to come by and cheap in Mexico? I'm wondering because I really wanted to know how exactly KOF2002 is so plentiful down there, that it seems it is easier for Mexicans to get than other games, if I'm not mistaken. Also, I'm asking this because you interviewed someone in Juarez asking how long 2002 was going to last, and he said maybe 5 or more years...

Man I feel so outta the loop. I haven't played XIII yet with the A.I. guys and I don't have anyone who really cares about KOF in my area like MEX. I really want to be a frequent tournament member for XIII and other KOFs.

I'm so fucking sick of asking people in my area if they play KOF and getting responses like:

Edit: I've got the tools set and I've upgraded the Dream Cancel You Tube account to Director status so we won't be constrained by the 10 minute time limit.

If I'm not mistaken all accounts regardless of status gets a 15 minute time limit, accounts that have no time limits on videos have been open before Google bought Youtube. :/

EDIT: Move list templates for 2002UM are up for Maxima, Whip, and the whole Korea Team. Feel free to add more information and details on moves, combos, etc. That goes for a lot of incomplete character templates too. If you have information to contribute...contribute. :)

It's nice to have some local competition but it's disheartening when most SSFIV players won't even bother to try out other games.

What I've realized is that SSFIV players usually think of KOFXII when they hear KOF. They probably tried the game out and were really disappointed with it but they don't bother to think of 98, 2002, XI, etc.

You're right, there isn't a BC/MAX mode section just yet, I'm planning on adding one soon, as well for a section explaining the super meter, a section explaining ambiguous roll cross ups on knock down, and much more.

That's really cool. Even though it's in all Japanese it is still easy to follow and learn from.

I have an idea.

Anyway we can get these videos on youtube for easier access (probably uploaded on the dreamcancel youtube channel) along with annotations for whats going on in them? I understand they will have to split into two or three parts of the length, so that's no problem. Then from there the videos can be linked in each of the character's wiki?

If they rebalance the game it's whatever.  I guess people will finally stop crying so much. You'll get the variety you crave so much.  I can understand.  Unless you got offline comp for these recent KOFs like 02UM and XIII, you're left looking like a fool for banking on unreliable netcode.  So all you're left with is uploaded matches.  Playing laggy matches and VS CPU can only last so long.

If you got offline comp(like the AI peeps/other players), you're lucky as Hell.  As for me, looks like I might have yet another (SNKP)title sitting in my collection gathering dust.  I guess that's why I don't even care.  It doesn't have any effect on me at all.  The ratio system and rebalancing?  Doesn't mean a damn thing without competition.

Do you have any SSF4 players in your area?
