Question guys, after seen this EVO Finals, do you think KOFXIII needs a small (really small) balance patch? Or did Mad KOF proved that this game is as balance as it can get?

If that didn't prove that a balance patch isn't needed, NOTHING will.

Bala's lack of comfort in the late rounds of tourneys finally comes back to haunt him.  He'll get better after this, but it makes me wish he had lost a major before EVO, so he could've worked toward getting past it before EVO.  Alas, it went the way it went.  He fought hard, but Mad_KoF's Duo and Chin were just otherworldly.

OK, I gotta ask this because it's driving me frigging nuts.  I noticed a lot of Claw players able to do this at Evo but I can't seem to pull it off with any reliability.

low B, low A, forward+A, qcb+C... 80% of the time I end up getting Maiden Masher instead of Shogetsu.  I've tried interrupting the command by adding an Up after forward+A but I still end up with Maiden Masher the majority of the time.  There's gotta be a more reliable shortcut or something... what's the secret?  I've finished that string with Akegarasu since release because I can't figure it out.

Just watch your sliding, or just go to neutral after f.A before going to qcb.  You'll have enough time.

The Jump-in gives you more input time, or if nothing else, more time in your head to establish what's going on.

A lot of places are lifting f+A as canceallable, especially in a bunch of his BnBs. This is incorrect right?

Yeah, it's wrong, unless it's in HD Mode where everything is cancellable.

It tends to vary by region when it comes to the Claw/Flame split.  You'll tend to see Japanese players use Flame more due to familiarity for example.

Since there is a "good games" thread in the online matchmaking section, should there a "bad game"s thread too? Or maybe a salty/vent/frustrations thread in the training mode section? Cuz this thread surely isn't the place for it.

And yeah, I think it's best if we leave a Salty Games thread too.  Gonna need someone to be overlooking that though to make sure it don't go completely crazy, which Salt can do.
