General Discussion / Real match execution.

 So I need help >.>. I got KOF today trained for a ton of hours, unlocked Saiki and, trained with him more. I got some combo's down but, when I got to a actual match with moving opponents, it seemed as if I couldn't get any combo's in. Well unless my opponent whiffed some hella unsafe DP. I find myself in matches doing mostly crouching light kicks into Nivose with Ash or, other DP's with Kula and, Saiki. In training mode I can land J.D combo starters with Athena but, in real battles I can't land them or, they end up being to early.

 Well what i'm asking for are tips if anyone could give me a little guidance for what I should be aiming for as a beginner. Most of the knowledge I have down but, i'm very poor at execution. BTW how much time should I spend learning a character before, learning another character on my team?

I thought I was the only one >.<. I went to bed at 10:45p.m on Monday and, woke up at like 6:30a.m when it's usually 1:40a.m - 8:30a.m. I could not go back to sleep after I woke up at 6:30a.m >.<

Can the recovery on Athena's "Psycho Ball" be compared to Guile's "Sonic Boom"? The recovery seems really fast. Of course I don't even know the recovery of her Psycho Ball lol.
Not quite, Psycho Ball is more like a Ryu fireball than anything.  Fast enough so that you can DP a reaction jump in, but slow enough that you can't block a preemptive jump in.

Okay, she seems to have good zoning capabilities + reflector and, teleports.

It was a fun game with a good OST plus unlockables. Wish it was longer though. I just hated the final boss battle.

Rex Dart: I liked Ash ever since I saw him in KOF:MI Regulation A, but since it only came out in Japan I never got the chance to play it. A big fan of Ash but, never got the chance to touch him until KOFXII. I liked him because, to me he was the troll character and, wasn't like the rest of the Pyro characters. I didn't view him as a good or, bad character since he never really killed anyone (more so just humiliated others).

Team's
Ash, Kensou, Kula

K', Athena, Saiki.

If Rock becomes DLC there will be a team 3 for sure. This may sound wrong but, I think it's good to always learn one top tier character.


Supreme fighter: I had a bunch of old ones on xbl but, it's gone until early next year. Though I think they have them on PSN?

True. Though a move that cancel's the opponent's specials and, meter for 10sec plus a max cancel might be a bit too much lol. (Although after seeing Iori 98' I'm all for that idea).
