I would never have guessed those moves could absorb multiple hits, thanks a lot for putting those videos together.

I found this video on Youtube (full credit goes to CommandThrower) which goes over Xanadu's safe jump/cross-up set ups after QCB+P. Coliflowerz was the first to discover it, but it's nice to have this tech in video format.

Wow, I didn't know st.D had super armor as well, that's insane. Many armored moves are punishable, but st. D is plus on block. I find it's an effective move for closing the gap with my opponent after getting pushed out of cr. A range. The fact that it has armor means you can use it to approach in neutral, blow through fireballs and hit your opponent.

It's nice that at least a few people are discussing this awesome character, I feel like he's getting overlooked.

Thank you for putting this together, it's very comprehensive and I learned a lot.

I totally agree with your assessment that Xanadu is strongest on point. He excels at whittling down his opponent's guard gauge, which is most effective when they don't have meter to guard cancel blowback or guard cancel roll. As a block string, j.D > cl.D (both hits) xx f+A xx QCB+C depletes 50% of your opponent's guard gauge.

To add to your combo list, at point blank range you can do cr.A x3, s.B xx f+A xx QCB+A. The combo is possible because both s.B and f+A move Xanadu forward slightly. Easy confirms into big meterless damage into a hard knockdown into a cross up j.D follow up...this character is insanely strong imo.

Does f+A whiff on crouchers though? I find sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn't.

Edit: Forgot to mention that you should add that s.C has one hit of super armor on it.

Cool, I think I'll show up today! What's a good time to show up, and how many people usually come?

Hello everyone!

My name is Osman and I just moved to Montreal from Toronto for school. KOF is my main game and I'd love to meet up with you guys and get some games in. I live really close to Foonzo, is that where you usually play?

Unfortunately it doesn't combo, but it's a really good frame trap/pressure string.

I was practicing your 2 bar HD combo and I managed to squeeze a little bit more damage out of it:

J.D, cr. C, HD, cr.C xx EX Giant Bomb (DC) C-Mist, A-Giant Bomb, D-Drop Kick (DC) C-Giant Bomb, B-Drop Kick (DC) C-Giant Bomb (DC) EX Giant Bomb, A-Giant Bomb, D-Drop Kick (DC) C-Giant Bomb, B-Drop Kick, C-Airgrab

It does 876, but it involves 4 drop kicks.

Your combos are ridiculously awesome Lindseyboi, thank you for posting them! :D Raiden needed practical and economical HD combos in the corner and now he has them. For an easier hit confirm after the cross up splash, you could replace cr.;c, HD, cr.;c with cr.;b x2, HD, cr.;b, but you'd lose out on damage.

The combo I posted a few weeks ago doesn't work if you're too far away from a corner; I have a new one that carries to the wall a lot better, I'll transcribe it quickly:

J. D, cl.C, HD, cl. C xx EX Mist, A-Giant Bomb, D-Drop Kick (DC) C-Giant Bomb, B-Drop Kick (DC) EX Giant Bomb, A-Giant Bomb, D-Drop Kick (DC) C-Giant Bomb, B-Drop Kick (DC) C-Giant Bomb (DC) C-Poison Mist, C-Air Grab

Also here's my corner combo for one meter + half drive, it does 518. You don't need to start in the corner, but the EX Giant Bomb has to take you there for it to work. You can start this combo off cr. B, cr. A, but you need to have a Drop Kick already charged for it to work.

J.D, cr. B, cr. A xx EX Giant Bomb (DC) C-Poison Mist, A-Giant Bomb, D-Drop Kick, C-Air Grab.

This is my HD Mode BnB, it does 807 damage for only 2 bars. The best part about it is you don't need to have already charged Drop Kicks to perform it. Most importantly, whenever you do a Drop Kick during this combo, release the button and hold it again immediately to begin charging another one.

J.;d (hold), cl.;c,  ;b ;c (hold B), cl.;c xx EX Poison Breath, EX Giant Bomb, ;d-Drop Kick, DC, ;c-Giant Bomb, ;b-Drop Kick, DC, ;c-Giant Bomb, DC, ;c-Poison Breath, ;a-Giant Bomb, ;d-Drop Kick, DC, ;c-Giant Bomb, ;b-Drop Kick, DC, ;c-Poison Breath,  ;fd ;dn ;df + ;c

Instead of going for the Raiden Bomb ender, you can reset them with a jab, then go for a mix up. I like to charge a ;b-Drop Kick, then when they land, do cl.;d xx Drop Kick.

hints to do giant bomb into ex giant bomb ? i cant get the time :(

You have to use a technique called charge buffering. Charge ;db, then go to ;fd, then quickly snap to ;db and press ;a or ;c. If you do it properly, you'll see Raiden perform his Giant Bomb while you're holding down back. The point where you can drive cancel Giant Bomb is fairly late in the move, so just wait a second, then do  ;fd+  ;a ;c. In order to do the HD Mode combo I posted above, you need to charge buffer every Giant Bomb.

I finally mastered Raiden's HD combos; they do 705 damage with 2 bars or 805 damage with 3 bars, how do those numbers compare to the rest of the cast? Is it worth using that extra stock for only 100 more damage?

Edit: Nevermind, I discovered an HD combo that does 807 for 2 bars :) That's a pretty good meter-to-damage ratio, as far as I understand.

Which button configuration do most of you prefer? I find charging the D Drop kick, while leaving the rest of my fingers free, to be very awkward with the standard config.

First off, welcome to the scene!  :) And yes, that's the store you're thinking of, the address is 702a Spadina Avenue. Hope to see you there.

The video I posted got me thinking; is it possible to absorb an attack with the autoguard frames of  ;c Shoulder Tackle, then cancel it with a feint to put yourself at a frame advantage? In some cases, you might even be able to punish your opponent. This is pure theorycrafting on my part, would someone be kind enough to test it? :D

Also this video should answer your question about Raiden's  ;c Shoulder Tackle.

I'm probably going to run the BlazBlue button config, it seems like it'll make charging that D Drop Kick easier  ;)

I tried to buy this game yesterday at Promenade Mall and it was sold out...that came as a huge surprise to me, but hopefully that means a bigger playerbase for our scene.
