« on: October 21, 2011, 05:46:00 AM »
So my brother just picked up a PS3 today. So now I have both a 360 and PS3. I'll be picking up the game for both systems more than likely. I'll add my tag here once I make one.

Edit: If you guys want to add me here's my info:

I've seen clips of Eden Eternal. It doesn't seem bad. Is GW F2P? I've recently gotten back into DFO. I'm also waiting for the closed beta for War of the Immortals (aka Battle of the Immortals 2). If you guys like Diablo 2/3 style gameplay then check it out. Closed beta starts Oct 25:

Fraps is good but make sure you have lots of space on your pc. The video files it makes are fully uncompressed so the files will be huge. You'll need to compress the video using video editing software like Sony Vegas. Hypercam does the job also similar to Camstudio but you need the right codec to get the best quality recorded.

Lets see the first MMO I've played was Diablo 2 but that was way back in the early days of the game. The next game I actually touched was Cabal which can get boring from all the grinding, unless you have a good guild who runs dungeons all day. I played that for about 2 years on and off. After that I tried DFO on and off as well but didn't get too far into it. I kinda feel like playing it again though but not sure. I also played a good amount of Battle of Immortals. I love the event systems they have in the game. Though gettin all the good gear you nead is hard to get unless you are lucky or grind dungeons like mad. Then I tried Dragon Nest. Game is really fun. I also love the control setup it uses. I'm looking forward to Diablo 3. Also speaking of Diablo have you guys seen this game:

I think this game looks amazing for a F2P game. It's in closed beta atm but hopefully they announce a open beta date soon.

Edit: Also forgot to mention I'm playing a but of Rusty Hearts atm. So far it's not too bad.

Good evening gentlemen, after watching (nearly all) of the elive videos, im still not sure about how the corner throw bug that is mentioned at various times works.
Could someone describe which characters are affected by this if not all? Perhaps a training mode / 2player setup i can try to see how it works?
many thanks.

The way it works is you do a characters back throw usually with C. The only characters that can do it are Rock, Terry, Dong, Jae, Hotaru, Kevin, Jenet, Gato and Grant. The way it works is you throw someone in the corner. As they are getting up you jump and use your common crossup normal right as you are at the edge of the screen. If you do it correctly you will cross them up instead of hitting them from infront. You can practice this in training mode. Set the dummy to block and just throw them near the corner. Then do as I mentioned before. If you do it correctly the dummy should block in the opposite direction. It's pretty simple to understand but it's also good to know because it leads to 50/50 guessing games in the corner after a throw.

I've been having an urge to play this again with people. Is there a save state anyone has on GGPO? I'd like to try having a go at it again.

Fatal Fury / Re: Fatal Fury series hitbox script
« on: September 10, 2011, 09:12:44 AM »
Me and Giby did 3 characters so far for MOTW. Rock, Hotaru and Dong. Took about 4 hours in total. It's tough getting the snapshots of certain hitboxes cause they stay on the screen for like a split second. You can grab them here:

We still need to do the rest of the characters though. Going to be a while before those get done. Then we'll probably going to just clean them all up once it's all done. Which will take some time as well. It's a lot harder than it looks getting those screens.

Jt using toptiers booooooooo...j/k. Glad to see people still keeping the game active. I hope it all works out in NEC as well. I also hope steve H steps up his game. I would love to make it out but money and my works schedule keeps me from doing much of anything on the weekends -_-.

you guys can add me if you'd like to:

NocturnalSRK

I barely get on it unless someone wants to do voice chatting instead of IMs.

There is also Teamspeak: http://www.teamspeak.com/

It's pretty similar to Ventrilo. Some prefer Ventrilo over it but I find it just as good.
