2) Luis Cha - Outside of Reynald, he's probably the 2nd most consistent tournament player this year. 1st at Japanawa 2014, 1st at Stunfest 2014, 2nd at CEO2014, 4th at SCR2014

Luis was actually 2nd at Stunfest to Salim

If we go on tournament placings then Misterio should be one of the top seeds.

this year he won:
-MALIGNO CUP
-VGM TEC 2014
-U.A.F.G
-Torneo Fighter 2.1
-4th at CEO

Not to mention owning both Reynald and Luis at Money matches..

I heard on SDR that Verna is a doubt.

i think I heard somewhere that Koopa came to late to enter the tournament..

but yes the grand finals were insane..

but as good as Kain is at doing the infinite his current playing style still needs a few
tweaks if he is to be evo champ.. I saw a load of games with kain vs Kula and Kula
looked the stronger player his winning rate against kain was like 2 to 1..

This years Evo could be the most stacked if all top players attend..
we know bala cant make it and I think Toshi can't as well can anyone confirm?

we know Reynald will be there, so will Tokido and madkof, Kain will be there i think so will ET and Ren
and Xiaohai..
I think Misterio will be there as well, and i wont be surprised if he took the title..

19
Great set between Reynald and Tokido but in the end it was rather easy i would say for Reynald..
10-6 including 3 OCVs with Dou Lon and many games where his 3rd fighter was never needed..
nevertheless Tokido is a great player and could still win NWM..

20
I really dun see this as much of a problem for Reynald I think he will take it 10-4..  His Ex-Kyo and Beni would do a lot of the work..

haha yep I've also seen him do a d+D to it as well..

if u watch the clip again just before he does it, he first tries the standing C+D, then a d+D, then a d+C which succeeds..

I am surprised Dakou doesnt play EX Kyo, as he is known to have the best Kyo in 98 and EX kyo is pretty close to kof 98 Kyo..

also after the 3x3 tournament Ren had a FT3 against Kou Kou, which Kou Kou won 3-1, watching his Kim is pretty insane, how did he not get further at evo?

I have no idea why Ren started dropping the Iori infinite so much, its definitely not the PS3 becos as far as I know he only plays on PS3 on his Rentime streams..

24
First of all i would like to say Congrats Reynalds u certainly proved me wrong, I had Ren or Madkof to take it just goes to show how much I know, lol..

Okay I would like to ask Reynald that in the grand final against Woo, when he went 2-0 down, what went through his mind and deep down did he really believe he could do it?

Also I would like to know what his opinon is on the overall standard of KOF at international level? ^^

25
I remember hearing that around 800 ppl showed up for pools..

I think it has done alrite this year, it has more entries than newer games like Tag2 and P4..

Remember SFxT had a update version which a lot of ppl did like and meant for less time outs..

I'm surprised with Injustice I thought it would break 900..

The kof pools look stacked.. alot of names will be going home early ^^

26
chances are it will get the 9am time slot but who cares as long as its hype and we get a great GF is all that matters..

A Reynalds vs Madkof GF would be madhype..

Here is Ren's match with the Iori rekkas and the crazy lightening loops:

There are a few more matches uploaded at the NESTS Zero channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/NESTSZERO/videos

Yep Ren did very well to win it, he looked nervous and was dropping basic stuff in the final round of the winners final with Tokido. i guess it will help him at evo that he has played through intense matchup situation..

Tokido looked strong and looks to have upped his game from last year.

Xian done good he got 2 reversed OCVs against ET..

And ET didnt seem that great as i have been hearing.. once his Clark was taken out his game seem to fall apart..

28
Anyone catch KoFXIII at South East Major? I missed it but I'm reading on twitter that Yao Ren pulled out the EX Iori and Benimaru infinites in tourney matches.

I did, well from what they showed which wasnt a lot..

yep Ren looked amazing he busted out a dp drive cancel to 5 rekkas to a DM..
and with beni he did the lightning loop about 10 times in one go..

this is why Ren is the dark horse to win evo..

for wot its worth even Xian busted out about 2 rekkas in the Iori infinite.. ^^

29
We should be able to see more of Ren and ET this month on South East Asia Major. I have hope KOF will have a Sunday spot since it was so hype last year.

I think Sunday finals will be the main 2 capcom games, Injustice and Tag2..

Kof was mad hype last year, but ppl complained that it took to long, which is why it will prob be moved to Sat, along with MK9, P4 and SFXT..

30
The biggest KOF Tournament ever?

Potential other names?

I think it will be the biggest KOF XIII Tournament ever no doubt about that..

Another guy to watch out is Yang Yao Ren, this guy is my pick to win it, based on his movement and spacing, I have seen no one play like him.. his Ex Iori is on another planet..

I just hope it gets as much stream time as it did last year, but what with more games in the evo line-up..
I think we're looking at finals on Sat..
