Maybe Kou Kou was nervous, I mean this was like his first time away from Japan..
I'm sure he be ready for Evo..

Congrats to Rommance for taking NCR, his game is really solid, already his 4th major this year, he's gonna be tough to beat come Evo..

Congrats to Kyabetsu for taking Stunfest, also another solid player. I was a bit dissappointed with Kou Kou as coming into Stunfest he was the guy everyone was raving about, but I didnt really see anything that surprised me and his offense was very predictable he also seem to struggle with the Dou Lon match up..

Hey guys! Found some new tech for Daimon! EX ground stomp loop (the most I've seen it done in videos is only one rep) and using the technique I also acquired a new 100% (without the need for a counter hit).

Also does anyone know of any near impossible to do combos that hasn't been done yet but know that it can be done?

Crazy Goro stuff..

The other day on the Cafeid channel I saw someone practicing the Goro EX Ground stomp loop and was wondering what he was trying to do, as I had never seen it before..  and now after seeing ur vid I know what he was trying..

I think any player that can do the Iori Rekka infinite has a chance to pull this off ^^

In terms of number of great players I think Japan at the moment is top of the tree..

Although they lost the 5v5 against Korea.. they easily dominated both 2 on 2 this past weekend.
But Madkof picking Raiden in the 2 on 2 could be him sand-bagging?

KOF at evo is gonna be crazy again..

And if Madkof can repeat then IMO that would make him the best kofxiii player ever.. ^^

My darkhorse pick would by Ren.. This guy's EX Iori and Mr Karate are INSANE..

But at the moment there are so many great kofxiii players in Japan and Mexico that are at the top of their game so its going to be a tough one to call.. ^^

Fantastic highlight hype video.. brings back some great memories..

other moments which could have made it were the Ralf HD combo by Combofined on BALA at Final Round.

and the end parts of the match when Romance faced LACID at Evo ^^

How about a video with the best combos from match videos of 2K12 could be great to watch as well ^^

Yes that FT10 was incredible.. both players played at a very high level. even though Koopa dropped a few
HD combos he still ran out a comfortable winner..
I thought BALA should have tried Chin ^^

what one was that? how did it go for u?

Absolute Battle 3. I was just spectating because I have no money. Although I was having fun wondering around, I forgot to record all the pool matches :\

yep thats what its all about is having a good time ^^

I was wondering is the speed of the game the same everywhere, cos I was watching a cafeid stream compared to the matches with Ren against Frionel, and the matches with Ren seem to be at a faster pace.

Did anyone else here catch the 2v2 tournament in France which had ET and Ren..  i saw that and the money matches before and i gotta say Ren's EX Iori is Disgusting.. he seem to be trying to pull off some kind of infinite with Iori which I have never seen before involving his flower move..  anyone else notice that..

I dun see why u have to cry, bitch and moan about it..

A bit of a dream match:

Cafe ID vs Nishinippori Versus Arcade on Climax.

Cafe ID players (4) on 1P side with 5 lives (each can be die 5 times)
Nishinippori players (20) on 2P side with 1 life

Awesome matches.

- Shoki was the man of the tournament imo, he scored 8 points for Japan all on his own (dat crazy post HD combo reset gamble). He basically beat the entire Korean team twice in a row before being taken out.
- MADKof's performance wasn't very hot, his Duo Lon and Chin weren't very effective against Japan.
- CafeID's manager was really good.
- Haregoro took out both of MADKOF's Duo Lon and King with Joe Hifriggingashi alone... before being reverse OCV'd by Kim T_T.
- Crazy Leona comeback by a Japanese in Part 1.
- Final score was 19-20 iirc in favour of Japan.

Overall, damn good tournament. Both Lacid and MADKof didn't seem nearly as effective as they did at the last US tournament where they crushed everyone very easily.

One thing to keep in mind I think is that the Korean players were sorta cherry picked and had 5 lives each, which gave them leeway in their performance and a lot of time to warm up. The manager for example started very poorly but later took down a lot of players. MADKof was taken out thrice in quick succession, 2 of those times was by Shoki alone. The Japanese players just got one chance.

I dun quite agree, i thought Lacid was tops and after the tournament he had a first to 5 with Shoki and won 5-1. I think Lacid is korea's best..

so what was going on with NYChrisG, I heard he forfeited his match with Romance in winners final, but shows up for his top 8 match against Juicebox..
He just forfeited the match, not the whole tournament. He was defeated by Juicebox in losers.
[/quote]

Doesn't seem to make much sense, what if he was to face him again or another top player he would forfeit again, wheres the logic in that, it defeats the whole point of competition..

I dun see what all the fuss is about juicebox commentary..
I think he's one of the best, becos he explains alot about frame advantage, mix-ups, what moves are invincible, etc..
yeh he goes over the top with HD combos and is a bit bias towards Socal players, but thats minor..

I think SBA is the best KOF XIII tournament I have watched after EVO.

I think its scary jusy how good the Cafe ID players are, considering their community in Korean is not nearly as big as US..

I was really surprised that BALA did not switch to Chin during any of the times he fought Lacid, becos in the 3 v 3, he showed that his Chin can cause all sorts of problems even against Madkof..

Did anyone watch the OCV Lacid did on Oscar, the first round I thought Oscar gave up as Lacid ran up and threw him 5 times in one round..
