i don't think there'll be any new characters to be honest. this isn't the 90's anymore, characters take ages to develop. look at how tough it was to finish the game in the first place.

don't mean to rain on your parade but a couple of those 100% combos used more than 5 gauges. namely andy and terry(mr kof is the only dude that i know of who knows a 100% terry combo to date). shen's wasn't too kosher either. but a great vid nonetheless.

Yeah I agree, it's the same guy from the page before right?  I already added some of his vids to the Duo Lon thread.  The guy's not too flashy but his basics are spot on.  The flashiest thing is using Ex Rekkas and he knows exactly how to use it well.

EDIT: That DL guy is totally reading everything the opponent does, I found this "read" so funny.

it's his ability to read stuff that enables him to play ash too. he has some seriously awesome reflexes.

Yo, ohisashiburi dana!

I just hope for a couple of things: add a drive cancel to K and Kula's longer combos cuz right now it's nuts. raiden and liz need some attention too.

on the other hand, some neo-max moves are underwhelming. Terry's is an example, it misses most of it's damage, while Kyo's, fairly similar, hits full screen. and it's not like terry is a killer on every other field. to, there should be no more than 2 tiers: easy to use, high damage but limited options OR very versatile but low damage. right now it feels like a character either rocks the cradle or is a pushover (it's an exaggeration but you get the point).

and Netcode... maybe they should give id software a call hahahhahah.

good ash players sure spend their time practising insanely long combos. it's cool to see how ash foils alot of raidens and K's with his idiosyncratic play-style.

I heard that in Mexico they were able to hack it. Who knows.

If one actually gets around, don't forget to buy an official copy somehow, unless that's the last new KoF you want.

if they stop making kof, i'm importing a cab, no matter what.

but if you have so little life left, you cower out of instinct, which was his doom.

part 2 below, it's using the ratio system (spelled RE SHI O ^^)
nice NM anti-air punish by robert in the first match.
second match was a bit boring but had an interesting bit: robert's NM deals damage and knocks down upon missing, akin to Goro's normal special.
third match was quick, OCV by benimaru.

part 2:

^daijoubuka,omai?

besides raiden's drop kick NM combo, which 100% is cheap (stock/hd wise) in 13?

sometimes i have the impression you're talking about a completely different game.

the only problem i see with drive cancels is that it's been very randomly determined. K' has an absurd combo which costs no DC and alot of characters have insanely limited options in comparison. as far as the rest is concerned, it works as a pace setter, defining characters as they are. slow or non=rush characters won't pull outrageous combos all the time, and the faster ones will have other draw-backs. or so it should be.

characters with command grab NMs will use them a bit more frequently. i saw someone doing ash's NM on wakeup (it happened in AI) and it was awesome and wtf at the same time. if you ask me, between going broke on one NM that lands or wasting 3 stock on EX moves, i think i'd go with the NM. of course, every character is different in this aspect.

IMHO, SNKP wants to prevent Chinese Democracy Syndrome.  by simply not raising expectations regarding release dates, they can choose the right moment to hype the game. it's hard to build speed from zero, but A WHOLE LOT HARDER if they have to push the release date back even once. and given SNKP's current state, i think it takes only a couple of syntax errors to derail their schedule.

also, Bill Gate's once said: it's better to have a piece of &^$% at the right moment than the perfect program at the wrong one. with so many mainstream games looming, timing the release of xiii anywhere near them is financial suicide.

my 2 euro cts.
