I do this corner combo instead (kinda flashy) standing C to Ein trigger to Second Shell to A ver of Crow bite -> Drive Cancel in regular minute spike then you drive cancel to EX minute spike to EX Crow bite or just A ver of crow bite.

Why would you do a combo like this? The normal BNB with him is st.C, qcf+A, f+D, qcb+D, qcb+D, dp+A. You do the exact same thing but you changed the order around so you use an extra DC for no reason. Off the dp+A you can still DC into qcb+BD and get the dp+AC or dp+A.

Well you ruined it. Good job. I will be retiring from the ranbats for a while. I gotta go and do some soul searching regarding kof but I imagine I'll be back soon. You can still catch me at SFSU though.

Well after the watching the Shen cross-up trick on STA stream , I was wondering how useful would the following setup would be:

...qcf+D, dash, cl. C, hcb+B

When C hits, Kyo can run direclty under the opponent and end up behind them.

It depends on where you end up after doing the hcb+B. I imagine it won't be half as useful as the one with Shen because Shen can choose to cross up or not. He also seems to recover before you even finish resetting from the cl.C

If you throw a light ground projectile (which doesn't knockdown) towards an opponent that is mid-air and they land on it, will it knockdown?  Would it be blockable?  As an option, the opponent would be able to roll out of it, at the expense of an EX bar, right?

Yes it will knock down if they land on it.

You won't be able to block it because you're in the air then you get hit and knocked down. You can't do anything other than eat it since you're in the air. Some people have air moves which can change your trajectory so you avoid the fireball.

Damn, I think I actually won't be able to make it to SCR since that weekend is the weekend of finals week for me. I might have a Saturday final.

Shit, I have a final on Monday after SCR as well.

Damn I miss playing with you guys, thanks for putting on a good show week after week and it definitely looks like we have some new contenders to look out for like BBZ, who's super solid.  NCR and SCR can't come any sooner!

BBZ has been to pdog at SFSU for a while. We're definitely slowly catching up though. IIRC Isaiah goes even with BBZ and Faze does pretty well against him. Me and Christian are able to take games off him as well.

Haunts was on Frame Trap today and he mentioned this Sunday, again, like a giggling schoolboy with a dirty secret. So this is really starting to get me curious. It could be a visitor from another country, it could be a visit from Atlus, it could be anything that Haunts/Simon/Art think are hype enough to be hype.

Art and Simon think Guntank is hype. What does that tell you about their standards?

I tested it in training mode. For the drive meter equivalent, dp A(1) DC qcb K x2 will do slightly more damage given you end in dp C, however I tend to miss it while DC blackout gives a lot more time to hit a C dp. If you do DC qcb K x2 dp A it will do slightly less (like 10 dmg) than dp A(2) DC blackout dp C.

As for this Sunday, I'm ready to reclaim my Marvel crown and get my shirt prize from last season.

I'd stick with dp+A(1) (DC) qcf+K dp+C if you're not gonna try to learn the dp+A(1) DC qcf+C combo. qcb+D, qcb+D, dp+C is not going to work in console version I believe so there's no reason to learn that.

a question.. could u somebody post the stun combo?
i dont mean in the v.1.0 but in the 1.1
thx

PS: i dont remember if in the current version he still has it

The one I do/know of is

[st.C, f+B, db/f+D, db/f+B, db/f+B, st.C, f/b/f+AC, (DC), hcb+B]x2, st.C, f+B, db/f+D, db/f+B, db/f+B.

I haven't done the combo in a while but I believe it stuns at this point.

Here something I don't get after watching this several times....How do you connect Ray Spin ver B after doing a Ray Spin Ver D but the D ver doesn't do the first or second shell...Is there like a quick cancel or something? Mr. KOF told me that I can do that but I spend like a hour on training mode and i still don't get how it's done

You missed a few steps. Before you do qcb+D into qcb+B you should first combo into qcb+BD, f+D. The slide from ex tatsu will put them high enough so you can juggle both a qcb+D and qcb+B if you perform the qcb+D at the right time. It's not too difficult to do once you get some practice in.

So the full combo off a st.C will be

st.C, qcb+B, f+D, dp+C (DC) qcb+BD, f+D, qcb+D, qcb+B,f+B dp+C

You can repeat the combo from the dp+C (DC) qcb+BD if you wish.

If you get a random qcb+BD or combo into qcb+BD off cr.B and they are close enough to the corner you should do a qcb+B, f+B, then do the dp+C (DC) qcb+BD portion of the combo.

If you want a meterless combo it'll be

st.C, qcb+B, f+D, dp+C (DC) qcb+D, qcb+D, f+B dp+C.

Here's the full comboat 6:38 performed by me. I ended it early with the qcb+A because I wasn't 100% if the height would allow me to connect the qcb+B.

Hey, thanks for the compliment Kane! I definitely feel like Raiden is starting to actually hold me back considering I have not played him during casuals at all. I'm also not as patient as I need to be to play him. That's partially why I stuck with the team I used through out the tournament. I don't see me going back to using Raiden anytime soon considering how many characters I want to try out.

I've said that for a while and no one really listens to me. I'd rather get hit by him than anyone else at Southtown really. The problem is I keep getting hit after the first few ):

If we're gonna quote and bold then let's look at the second half of the quote. I did acknowledge that the problem we have is playing vs him in general and the problems isn't just how damaging or not his combos are.

Nice.   We were just talking last night how we feel between a) having three relatively close arcades in Norcal, b) the dense population in general (accessibility to new players), and c) the overall number of hungry new (and young) players makes us know without a shadow of doubt that within a year you guys will have a far larger scene than socal does.

I actually wonder about that a bit. I've played at all 3 arcades and it's really mostly the same people. At most there's like 2-3 people who play at one arcade and not the others and everyone else just migrates back and forth depending on which arcade has something going on that day. I definitely hope what you predict will come true but we'll see after console comes out and see how the arcades handle it.
