Hmm no arcade update is kinda big...think arcade owners would be ticked off? I mean, I don't want SNK to jeopardize their relationship with arcades.

No spectator mode is a real bummer, I guess it's to keep the online as smooth as possible...still a real shame though. Offline is where it's at anyway.

I hope it will be a choice between arcade mode or console arranged version.
Because in order to play with the best players of the worlds (japanese arcade nerds), we must play at the same game, the arcade version. Moreover if there is no arcade update i think tournament edition will be arcade one.

Yamamoto confirmed that there will be no update for the arcade version.

Will probably transition directly into KOF14.

That's what I was hoping, but it's still a fragile possibility.

i believe they said the netcode they made for the game worked even better for it since a lot of stuff is happening on the screen

Seriously, nobody expected GGPO to work with the game, it has been pointed tons of times that GGPO only works with game that are not so resource consuming, so I never expected to see GGPO.

And about the arcade mode, meh, I'm sure that at this point japanese players had at least a PS3, or to a lesser extent, a 360, I'm sure that we will see them in console edition

EDIT: According to the professor from mmcafe, n° 17 wsa told by them that there will be some sort of patch to the japanese arcades

ok so it seems like a few peeps are pissed that the game doesn't have a spec mode hopefully people can bug snk about it enough so they can have a change of heart cause this little could possibly kill the game in some way

SNK would make a great money, if they made a conspiracy/thriller style movie about the production of KOF XII/XIII. (с)

Maybe for some people spec mode is not a big deal at all. I plan to get the game but I do plan to play it online exactly 0 times.

Even though an spectator mode will help the game, I really don't believe than without it the game could be killed.

Still, this is the chance to talk to them and said how it will be nice to had this mode in the game

That being said, I still believe than the interface in XII was fine, maybe they could twist some things but overall arcade mode was well done, the only thing that killed the whole was the most important, the netcode

Maybe not KILL the game, but I know a lot of people who were on the fence about this game, the lack of spectator mode definitely loss some potential fans. After the complete and total debacle that was KoF12, SNKP should be doing everything they can to win consumers' trust back, including basic features like Spectator Mode.

Is weird than some fans will just not buy the game for the lack of spectator mode, merely because

1) If they are not rabid KOF fans or fighting game fans I doubt that they wanted the game to watch others play or that the lack of spectator mode will made them not buy the game
2) If they are rabid KOF fans, they should be looking to play this game for at least 16 months.

Not saying that is not true, but is hard to believe for me that one will not buy a game just because you can't watch others play.

Still, I don't believe that SNKP could create an arcade mode like in XII did, unless the big amount of players really could kill the netcode

well i would think new players would like to see what they are up against at least and maybe pick up a few things a long the way of course you cant do that if you dont see anything
