implying the whole street fighter community isn't a bunch of dickheads

Well if you are one of those players who cares about everything going on within the pro community, it seems that people only think Empire Arcadia and Filipino Champ are the only dickheads in there.

wow, this really breaks my heart, this means im not getting this game (i was planning on buying, no more though.) so the biggest bs so far, thyeoption to set input delay t 2 or zero frames, why would there even be an option orthe 2 frames of lag or howmuchit really is, these bitchmade ass motherfuckers.

another problem, ggpo not being what its claimed to be (had a feeling this might happen).

now for the last issue, the ps3 version having more offline lag than 360 (or input lag). tis just plain out sucks. the big questionfor me is wether this will also be on ps3 version of kof xiii as opposes to the 360 version, or will we find out that crapcum are just bitchmadeand they fucked up the input delay by not programming it propperly (this screwing us, i mean themselves over).

im curious to see if that best netcode fora fighter ever from snkp willl be true, i hope it is.
In the end, there can only be XIII.

Oh shit, I forgot about the option to set the frame delay. Maybe I should reduce it to 1. It's like set to 2 by default right?

@Louis: I hate you. :(

I'll get you next time.

I stand by my statement that 3S is slow. I played it for about an hour and then switched over to KOF95 and it's faster.
at least it's faster than sf4

I'm pretty sure Karate Champ is faster than SFIV.

I dunno how anyone can say this game is slow. It surely is not. Movement and what not may seem slow, but the speed attacks and throws come out is lighting fast, and you need lighting like reactions to defend and counter.

I guess it's kind of like KOFXII like that.

Back in the day, I skipped over the SFIII games since they were so much slower than Alpha 2.

I set my delay to 1 on GGPO and haven't had many problems. I assume the bad connections are with people on wireless.

Nil, I think you've been playing a lot of shoto players because those guys tend to play very defensively. Because I've  played rushdown and killed dudes in 10 seconds especially considering Alex's heavy damage output and mixup.

I have been noticing that I'm being thrown out of my Powerbomb a lot more. Whether or not this is me getting used to 3SOE or lag I'm not sure.

As far as Rollback I didn't notice a lot with good connections (Running Wild and Steam Wolf). The most prominent things to be noticed were the KO sound would play when you hit them/vice versa when they have a fraction of health but don't actually kill them. That, and the music would kick out sometimes but resume in the following round.

The KO bug was actually worse on GGPO: http://youtu.be/rJoJEZEjauk

That KO sign would Stay on the screen and you'd get lines across your super and health bar.

Only In Third Strike

I think I understand Alex's command grab better now. Slow as hell start-up, but very long active frames, so it sorta creates the illusion you are being thrown out of wake up. Or something. So it can be used as a meaty.

I wish SRK's wiki wasn't botched right now so I could see the actual frame data and maybe find a good quick poke to beat it out without having to risk jumping and eating an anti-air.

Guess And Win Fighter ftw...

In my case I'm getting a lot of Rage Quitters, and my Makoto is in no where great. But man, people just keep rage quitting every fucking time. Also I'm not playing anybody with RED Ping, SF3 turns into Teleport Fighter 3, argh... I hate rollback sometimes.

I think it worked because Akuma and Ryu's SA1 suck on wakeup, too much startup. They could be hit out of it with pretty much anything. It wouldn't work if say it was Dudley doing SA3 on wakeup for sure.

I guess a patch will be on its way. I wanted to get this game but idk I've been trying to focus on KOF so much I'm not as enthusiastic about this game as I was in the beginning but I'll get it next week when I have a little more free time.

LouisCipher

It's not that different from KOF. I'd make the argument that playing 3S will help improve your zoning and mixup game immensely. Playing smart really changes how 3S is played compared to other fighters where one strategy will work really well, but doing it all the time in 3S will probably lead to your downfall. Also the mixup once you knock someone down can be pretty intense and there's TONS of options.

I agree with you. Overall, I don't know much of anything when it comes to the intermediate stuff with footsies and such so I think playing different games will some how broaden my understanding. To quote Alex Valle if you are playing only one fighting game, you are limiting your potential.
