My first dance game was Pump It Up, fell in love with the game after hearing Beethoven song. Everytime I went to Dave & Busters I used to go and just play it. Then got into DDR because it was more popular, but the soundtrack wasn't as cool as Pump It Up IMO. Then they released PIU for the PS2 and bought it day one and I play it every now and then on my PS3.

I used to last up to 10 songs, but now I just finiish 3 and I'm beat. lol

I stopped playing dancing games because Guitar Hero came out and I went there, then Rock Band arrived and it was the same story. I can play well with most instruments and have fun. But yeah, I'm a Rhythm and Dancing gamer, but it's not surprised, since I like to dance and hear music a lot, so that might be why.

The problem with DDR is that they have decided to put in too many popular american songs, so people can play a song they know. A good amount of their songs are quite good.

Btw, konami will expand his bemani series and release dance masters for arcades

dem japanese DDR players

and

[DJMAX Extra] BlythE(Full ver.) / M2U

the best DJMAX song ever

Mad Matt - Love Hurts 98.87

Mad Matt - Wind Valley Boss 96.27

And he's not Japanese or Asian and he's much better.

Xxenace

yeah that was pretty damn nice but ive always enjoyed it when people ya know actually dance also final fantasy tactics ftw

sebbyQ

The dancing thing was always cool, but DDR soon made songs that wasn't actually dancing, rather hitting arrows, like this:

DDR SuperNOVA2 - Pluto Relinquish (Challenge) AutoPlay

Xxenace

[DJMAX Portable 3] OutLaw Reborn 6.2T WS Max Combo
after playing the djmax games on the psp for while they have come to be my favorite series and ive also the the music is miles ahead of the ddr games(well at least now anyway)

marchefelix

The DJMax games look fun. More fun than DJ Queero, at least. I dunno about Beatmania though...

DarKaoZ

Talking about DJ games, I'm sad to hear DJ Hero didn't do that good. I really liked the mechanics and the music tracks. DJHero 1 had better tracks, but DJ Hero 2 gameplay improvements made it much more fun.

Sucks Activision killed the franchise.

marchefelix

Activision shouldn't even be in the business of rhythm games. The games they make suck so much.

Rhythm games are better left off to Konami and their Bemani franchise (though the newer DDR games kinda suck).

sebbyQ

Their new games don't really suck, but the steeping to the songs have gotten worse.

Not to mention shock arrows are a silly gimmick/ripoff of ITG mines

Imo activision has make better rythm games than konami from a very long time, but that's not saying that much

Harmonix is still the king

guitar hero became ass after the second one honestly like in 09 there was a new gh game every month

i prefer rock band a lot more that gh because the devs support the game for a lot longer before the bring out a sequel and the crazy amount of dlc for the game too
