Hello...
« on: November 25, 2011, 08:58:38 PM »
Hey guys, I'm a new KOF player and have been playing nonstop since I got it.
My team right now is: Kensou, Benimaru, Maxima but I also play Joe and Clark.

Quick question: What character can I use to practice combos and Drive Cancels?
I ask because it's been difficult for me to do them, even during the tutorial.

Whoever you want.  Some characters have weirder/harder combos than others, but ultimately, you're best off picking characters you want to play and grinding it out with them until you get used to playing.

Welcome to DC, FF98.

Of the characters you mentioned I think the two easiest for practicing Drive Cancels are Maxima and Benimaru.

For Maxima, EX Maxima Press (hcb+BD) follow-up (qcb+P) can be DC'd into dp+K or qcb+AC. Some nice damage.

For Benimaru, in the corner, his qcf+K follow-up (d,u+K) can be DC'd into qcb+P, which juggles the opponent in the air. You can follow it up with a couple different things (DM, air raijinken, etc.).

Good luck!  :)
