Yo the names ShadowFiend. I AM A LOUD BLACK MAN! like seriously, i either envy mvc2 yipes or i put him to shame the choice is yours. you'll hear me at a local tournament i get hyped very easily xD I am from Socal home of the Dead Animu Fightan Game Community xD. i been playing and loving fighting games since i was about 5 or 6. My first fighting game and my favorite fighting game of all time is Street Fighter II Hyper Fighting. First Character: Ken Masters. ever since SFII i fell in love with the SF Series and the Capcom series. i was so hooked on Capcom games i didn't want to give any other fighter a chance(i considered tekken) but games like blazblue, arcana heart and melty blood. i bashed on because i was such a capcom ******. that changed when i've started playing games on a competitive basis.
I been in competitive gaming for about 2-3yrs now. believe or not, my first competitive game was Super Smash Bros Brawl. the community was great for newcomers but i'm sure you all know why that scene is dying(or dead). The second game actually was a fighting game. Tatsunoko vs Capcom. loved it. instantly dropped smash for it. i was so hooked on it i met the community and they were all great players and people in general. it is my favorite cross over series...i was a little disappointed because it didn't get to last no longer than a year thanks to the announcement of marvel vs capcom 3. because of this, i was salty. like very. people just gave up tvc because marvel was coming so there was a point where i wasn't hyped for it....but. the release of Spencer. a character that actually looks cool. i couldn't say no and things got better when i've heard the controls are like tvc. so i was hyped because i thought it was going to be the best fighter ever...WRONG. i was very disappointed as the game developed..it was nothing like tvc. so i gave up on it, random factor isn't for me. I never liked blazblue, it just didn't appeal to me and it looked boring and no character really appealed to me cept hazama but not enough to play....continuum shift II comes out..new character. Platinum the trinity(the thing about me is..i'm a sucker for moe characters(NOT LOLICON)and it was being released on psp(i don't haz a ps3) so i brought cs2 played it like sat down to understand it..i fell in love. i learned of the games mechanics. just knowing how to approach, pressure, hit confirm, counter attack, set-up mindgames, out-predict, etc. it gave new a new outlook on how to approach other fighters.
King of Fighters, i'm going to be honest. one of my very first fighting games was fatal fury on the SNES. i didn't know how to play so it just sat there and collected dust, i had SF2 on the SNES so in fighting game terms that's all i played. i had no idea about KOF until Capcom vs SNK 2. I was fanboying over Yuri, Kyo and Hibiki. so NOT ONLY do i find yuri awesome but her voice...her voice has to be one of the most adorable voices ever...
i wasn't a fan of sakura in sf2, YURI IS MY SAKURA <3
but anyway, i look forward to seeing where the king of fighters scene takes me.
