I'm quite surprised the game leaked so early, mainly because i'm quite certain it took till the weekend before release for Sfv to break street date.

I think people who break street date so it out if foolishness more than anything.

Unfortunately, we will have to remain strong these few remaining days when it comes to spoilers. People will spoil mostly because people want to know so badly. Case in point: three years ago when Pokemon X & Y was the big thing, some nobody with a Pinterest account got ahold of an early copy in Canada. He started posting things about the game and instantly he went from 40 followers to almost 10,000! Eventually he got "Nintendo'd" and he took down everything related to the game and went back to having 40 followers. But even with a lesser known game like KOF there will be people who will eat up any morsel of information.

On another note, has anyone read the team stories yet? I liked them a lot.

People played the hacked betas months before the game came out. Also, there is the ongoing leaks of add-on dlc.

Team stories seem like they have a lot of thought put into it. I'm betting that the story mode will at least be better than SFV.

I bet everything would be better than SFV's Story mode...

Did XIII or previous games had Team Stories like XIV has? Just wondering.

13 has team endings and individual discussions between characters along the way in arcade mode.

All KOF games have team stories. It's a staple of the series.

I mean like this type of prologue stories.

Kinda funny to think that SNK pretty much pioneered story telling in fighting games...

Yes, dude. KOF has had prologue stories since the beginning.

The "KOF Aniv" website has all prologue stories up to XI. I haven't found the XIII stories yet but I know they exist.

KOF XIII prologues were in an arcadia magazine: http://kof-uk.blogspot.com/2010/08/arcadia-magazine-sept-2010-quick-look.html

The art for the XIII team story prologues was done by Homare (Fool's Art).

Turns out I do have one gripe about the team prologues. Most of them have conversations involving at least 3 people, but they rarely indicate who is speaking. Very confusing but, aside from that, still very interesting.

Huh, good to know. Guess I'll be reading a lot :)

Yeah, I noticed that too. Most of the time I could figure out who was talking, but Psycho Soldier story was the worst.

I read three of the stories. Official invitation team, China team and Japan team.

As Amedø310 and custle stated, its confusing to follow the 3 way conversations at times.

May already be widely known but figured I'd mention it. You actually gain meter during combos after the MAX Mode meter runs out. So if you can optimize your damage while ending your meter early, that might be best. Some characters you can even super and combo afterwards which begins building meter again.
