Use Ash's big green ball as much as possible because I haven't seen it in many combos videos. Also wanted to explore the combo possibilities of his jump C+D counter hit. I went with the troll theme simply because Ash is very troll-esque in game and out.

Ok the main problem if it's your combo are not practical, there are deadliest and easiest combo to do rather than yours, the green ball is often used as a corner carrier (in HD? can't remember) but i didn't have see a console combo video using it like this. But you can found some on arcade, don't know if you can still doing them though.

Combo videos aren't supposed to be practical unless saying so.

Thanks Saitsuofleaves. This was not really a practical combo video (I abuse too much meter and HD). I just wanted to showcase Ash's combo possibilities. I have only seen a couple combos videos for him and Saiki so I wanted to fill a void. I actually wrote a blog going over the in's and out's of this video if anyone is interested. It explains my choices in costumes all the way to the actual theme of the video.

What the f was that Kula HD combo at the end?

They finish it by doing a normal throw mid combo and then into super into max cancel.

They were also showing normal>HD>normal throw shenangans and various ways of going into HD outside of your usual grounded approach by starting with a normal.

@aethin & nilcam: could anyone please explain the difference in input with Benimaru on 1:10 timestamp?  ;c into ;c+ ;b I think, but two different outcomes. Why does he dash in one version versus hitting twice ?!

If you activate HD just when a normal connects then the character dashes forwad and you can input whatever you want. If you activate HD late after a normal connects then your character will do C automitcally instead.

Well for one thing grapplers love to input their command grab after you do a jump in attack (so if you get grabbed if there is a gap between your jump in and sC, for example) so its generally good practice to jump again after a jump in to avoid and punish.

Also, hit practice and learn to punish Clark's b~f+A, he was abusing it.

And why are you throwing after blocking Vice's tackle? Its a free combo.

Thanks for the clark tips clark is really annoying for Shen. So i'll hit the lab and try learning to handle that move. do you think Shen St. C would beat it since it has armor?

It was an accident I tend to get unnerved when fighting characters I don't normally fight, because I don't know what's safe and what isn't. So I think I was holding forward when I pushed hp and it became a throw. I should have left my stick in neutral and then attacked.
