Looks like Mai has a pretty strong corner combo game (can take almost 50% with just one power bar) and her EX moves can get her opponent into the corner from quite far away.

Don't think she has been used well/right so far, I see potential in her.

Saw him do cr.B, cr.B, s.A, EX fan, would it be possible to do an exdm or Neomax instead of the fan instead? Or any other special? Wouldn't this also be able to act as a hit confirm into HD ala Shen and Terry's cr.B, cr.B, s.B?

I think NM wouldn't enter after that combo instead of EX fan. Probably DM will do it, but I think he was just trying to show that Ex fan can enter where regular fan cannot, because EX Ryuenbu could be done too and follow it with hisatsu (hcf+K). I think it's fair to say that EXDM (or DM sometimes) could be done instead of air throw in many combos showed in the vid.

If its an exdm, ex qcb+P, HD etc. then that is pretty damn good for her, means she can get more off those then Shen, Terry etc. (who just go into HD) with their chains.

Oh and does it have to be cr.B, cr.B, s.A or can it be just cr.B, cr.B?

When I think about it, the EX fan works well from a tactical stand point. It does allow you to knock down opponents and keep them away for a while as opposed to her other moves that close in on them. Not to mention, it can be cancelled from far standing A.

Yeah but the other options lead to more damage, and since you have a 3 hit chain you have more than enough time to hit confirm.

The Leona play in the last match was awesome, specially Leona vs Kula. That was impressive.

The Leona and Kim play were pretty sweet. Andy looks extra solid in their hands, too. K' might be a bother, but... Leona can keep up the pace with him, with in-your-face, fast mix-ups and strong damage off V-slasher / Moon Slasher. And that "HERE COMES A NEW CHALLENGER!" after Leona's earring bakudan / grand saber KO combo was priceless, lol.

Shoutouts to the Mature as well. She looks so fun to play in this game... she really deserves more play. She's like a variation of New Iori with some fireball gameplay. (Kinda makes you think Flame-Iori fans should give her a shot.)

Oh, and I find it funny... as much as people want to criticize Kula's that finish combos with her DM (like in the recent Southtown Arcade tourney), this K' was finishing his with his DM, and seemed to be doing equal-or-less damage than her. K' moves in closer with his, however, so maybe that's why this player finds it viable?

I actually rather enjoy these multi-fireball juggles. Only saw such things with Kyo and Athena in match vids before, but it's nice to see that EX fireballs have pretty solid juggle potential.
