Ash is pretty, however, I think I will still go with Shen since he is powerful (Shen+Kim+Iori, the best no-fireball team).
Something bother me is that...Ash doesn't feel like a main character like Kyo and K'. As the main character of this saga, he is a bit too...hard to be notice, if this is how you say it in English.

That's the same thing I think about K'.

Man, I didn't even acknowledge K' and his existence until recently.  He's not that interesting.

Ash isn't that much better, but at least he has an interesting archetype for a character (sort of...just have to get past the Guile moves...).

But neither of those two have Tears as a theme, so they get trampled by Kyo.

From KOF heroes, Ash is my favorite. Sure Kyo has the best themes (Goodbye Esaka FTW), but Ash has overall best desing for me. And I like girly boys and white hair.
