Dreamcancel Chatango group

In an effort to replace to wibiya toolbar chat which provided members to chat while they were visiting the site and forums, we have now installed a chatango group chat which is on the sidebar of the homepage.

The full sized version of the group page is here: http://dreamcancel.chatango.com/

When you hit the "set name" button, you can choose to be anonymous, have a temporary name, or sign-up to create a profile. Only signed up members can receive private messages.

In the chat you can see my location, my contact info (like my psn handle) and you can private chat with me if needed.

We will need some moderators for the chat. If you are interested, please create a profile and pm me the link.

Rules in the chat follow the same ones in the forums. Be respectful.

If you notice any spam or troublesome chat members, please post them here or contact a moderator for they can be banned.

I'm currently looking for more chatbox moderators. Myself and Solidshark are the only ones. I see there are some spammers trying to interact with the box and we need more people to look out for them. Here are the requirements:

1.) You must be active in the chat often or at least read and check up on things a few times a day.

2.) You must be able to delete and ban troublesome members (flamers and trolls) and spammers trying to post links. You must be able to have a good moral compass and not ban people just because you disagree with them or don't like them.

3.) You must know myself, Solidshark and the other moderators really well and haven't pissed them off.

4.) If you are already a moderator, wiki editor, or front page editor you may be considered ahead some folks but you must be active in the chat often.

If you are interested, post here stating why you are qualified to be a chat moderator.

I'd be a qualified moderator because first and foremost meet all the requirements stated above. Second, I have a lot of moderating experience. I am a mod on several different twitch channels and (while not exactly the same) an admin on many facebook groups, and have been for several years now.

My last reason I believe I am qualified is I'm also very knowledgeable when it come to KOF and many other games. Therefore, if anyone needs some assistance I would be a helpful resource as well!

Being active in the chat won't be a problem for me because I'm in there everyday almost all day or just show up often idling there. I know Desmond and SolidShark knows me, and other people have seen my name around. I'm fully aware of my judgement on what I should do and not to do.

I am active in the chat/on the site multiple times a day.
Solidshark, and Desmond know of I, and a few other users as well.
I haven't had any moderator experience, but I do have a pretty good moral compass.
I try to help and refer people to places on the site, and liven up the chat a bit when it's dull.

I'm starting to be a bit more active in the chat. I take positions like this seriously so expect me to at least check in on things on a daily basis.

I'm known around DC by a few users, I'm sure you know of me too.

This would be my first time being a mod, but I have a good moral compass and understand the rules.

I helped a few times with the Wiki earlier on in the NGBC section. Also, try to spread the word about DC as best as I can.

We need members to be active in the chat to be mods. I don't mean all day, but at least checking things once or twice a day for a bit, while having others rotate would be fine.

I would like to express my feelings about that chatango client.

I don't like it, it seems like an ugly and unpaided chat, take no offense, I used to have one for my blogspot too, and this will appear to be an advertise (lol!) but it isnt, I found a great Bar that gives you a classy chat and tons of features for a comminuty page like this. it's name is wibiya and I think it would help a lot. I have my own simple one in my desolated blogspot I think I have a link in my profile if you want to give it a peek before you add it.
