I don't know.  First game has best soundtrack, 2 is good, but that slowdown issue, X is improvment and hard, 3 feels so damn long, 4 should be avoided, 5 has good soundtrack but meh, 6 is my favorite, 7 had limited lives, which annoyed me. Haven't played XX and that 3D game.

ms3 is pretty crappy imo, not as bad as 4 or 5, but still pretty crappy and way too long and some enemies dont die fast enough. bes ones are still 1 and x imo.

I never understood the criticism that MS3 was too long. I mean, people complain that a Run 'N Gun game is too short, but this one's too long? The final mission will take you about a half hour or so, but I thought it was epic. It had TONS of variety. More variety and imagination than any Run 'N Gun aside from maybe Gunstar Heroes.

3's my all time favorite too. Especially back when I had it on Xbox with limited lives. The day I beat that damn final stage was one of the most epic moments in gaming I've ever had. It may be long but its a non-stop adrenaline rollercoaster that never lets up.

i usually play on hadest, and ms games on hardest just kills it. its not even hard, just damn repetetive and takjes way too fucking long imo. back in the days i could finish ms1, 2/x and 3 in 1cc on hardest. and even then it took a long ass while, especially all those times when you run out of special weapon bullets (which will happen a lot on hardest). games are still fun though, its probably my favorite side scrolling shooter along with contra series.

Still, isn't weird to never see them, they are in a secret passage on the stage, I don't know if they appear on 7 though

Difference between 7 and XX are minor. There is only secret passages, different weapons and vehicles placement, unlimited continues, big weapon powerups, and a new rank called "Satan" in combat school.

Yea with multiplayer and exclusive playable character Leona Heidern. Playing it will be the same though except it has longer loading time than 7
