with all this re-birth thing, snk should have remade esaka 94 instead of the 96 stage.

that stage, the music, the character kyo. That was probably the turning point back then for snk. How all their ideas and innovation fitted into place, in one package and how it started to moved away from the SF shadow and began to pavement its own way.

kof 94 was ass though (as was 96 tbh), but the 96 esaka > 94 by a lot imo.

funny thing about kof is that 95 was actually a really good game, then came 96 and it was pure shit. than comes 97 which in its time was the best fighter ever released till 98 came out. i think all these things had to do with snk not having enough time to actually make the games finishes. 94 probably should have been 95. and 96 should have been 97, same way 97 should have been 98. time restraints ftw. lol.

That is awesome! Wow, they did emblems for all the teams? Damn, that is great! Hopefully we see more artwork on the Console version.

I can't believe that noone commented at the fact that magaki and mukai are gonna be in the game. All the chibis have their names at the top and their team name. On Saiki, Magaki and Mukai's it says BOSS. Are they gonna make it to XIII console version as well? or they are gonna use the sprites they had in XI for the iphone version ?

Most likely is because they were bosses from the Ash Saga. That might be why they are in the gallery of the game.

I notice that there is no airplane stage on King of Fighters-i but there will be on the console version.  I can not WAIT to see how that one turns out!!

Yes. That's likely the case since there were images of past kof games from 94-xiii inside KOF-I.

Time for my first post.

I gotta say all this kof content on the iphone is really making me consider switching from android to apple. I'm really excited to see where Atlus takes the franchise in the market. I'm hoping it can make it into the spotlight at least for a bit. I know a lot of attention is being divide up between SxT, soul calibur V, and tekken tag 2 but it's games like this that make me proud to be a fighting game fan. Capcom's latest offerings have been good but they seem to be missing the part that matters and that's solid mechanics and a usable roster.

Rant aside, I don't think we'll see Atlus make too big of moves on this game until Catherine is released. They are an awesome company but they are going to put their own game first. I'm hoping we'll get some announcements from comic-con.
