Wasn't sure what I was hoping for with this new game, but I really like what I see.

Doing a soft reboot (if that's what this is) seems like a smarter idea the more I think about it, for the sake of newcomers.

I can't call it a bad thing if you're getting the most fun out of it. Agree with some of the advice already given like using the random block setting. If you ever decide to venture into some matches, I imagine you'll do well, but I hope you have fun there either way.

Loved the Tung, Ryo, and Robert combos.

There's a good chance that XIV will be the baseline for their 2.5D fighters from now on, including experience in detailing character models, textures, and the like. They could invest in upgrades, but I wouldn't expect it for this game.

Load screens I half-agree with you, but they don't bother me as much. Hopefully future games won't have as many, depending on what they do.

The KOF XIV section of the Online Compendium is now up. This should make it easier to find players in your area. You can check your profiles and PM me if you want changes made.

If you came straight to the forum and missed the frontpage, the netcode patch is live. Hopefully like many others, you have positive impressions of the online for XIV now.
