My bad. I guess my eye skipped over them when I made the results. I added your wins in the results.
Just realized one of my scores isn't posted. My first match was against Sol GoodGuy. I took it 3-1. You can check our chat history via the Android Steam app to confirm. It goes back further than the PC Steam app.

Looks like you forgot me this time around.

Entering in a KOF game, playing and winning is supporting the KOF community too. All forms of activity in a game is supporting it.
Even so, I still want to see the active community members pull it out. At least he gives me a clear option to root for when viewing. I wasn't so lucky when Malik, and LazieFreddy faced each other.

Im actually happy to see Chris G place very high.  at least he's still playing kof 13...

The scary thing is, if he actually spent some time in learning some basic HD combos he can be even more dangerous..
I don't really have anything against Chris G like a lot of players. I completely understand his position. He needs to make money in order to support his habit, so he practices the games which will net him the most reward.

The reason I would rather see the other players win is because most of the other players support the KOF community in some fashion. That's pretty much it.

Overall I'm happy with the results, but would rather have AirLancer or Mr. KOF in the top 8 than Chris G.

Sigh...

If you jump OVER someone, then you hold forward BECOMES backwards relative to the opponent. So by holding "forwards" while crossing up and pressing B, you ARE pressing back+B.
No sigh man, it's just people interpreting the English language differently. Maybe we need lawyers to help us on this one.

I view this as AirLancer described, but execute it as Kane317 described. To me it's back because I crossed over, but if you just go with the direction you jumped, then it's forward. Either way, you have to wait till the crossover before you press B.

Would be sweet. Too bad it came so early.
Agreed. I guess I'll finally figure out how to use Fightcade.

Fwd+B: You jump over the opponent and simply hold up fwd (from jumping) and roll it one directional click to fwd and press B.
Hmmm.... seems to be different for me (I use a hitbox), but it could be related to timings. I usually perform the move late so I hit lower thus I need to use back.B.

Since I just got it via the humble bundle, probably not unless the humble bundle passes out the Steam version after the fact.

TL;DR: "superping" upgrade aimed at gamers is bullshit.

This concept is really hard for the layman to understand, but I will state it none the less. Hopefully you'll be able to grasp it.

ISP's market bandwidth not actual speed. Bandwidth is a way of getting more data in the same amount of time. It is not an actual (as in physical) speed increase. More bandwidth would be the equivalent of getting a bigger pipe for water into your house. The water doesn't flow any faster to your home, but you're receiving a lot more of it in the same amount of time.

The time it takes for a signal to reach the end point, and return is measured by ping. A lower ping means a faster (as in physical) transmission. Currently the fastest (as in physical) technology is fiber optic (transmits data using light). The backbone networks in America pass data around using fiber optic connections. The connection to most homes as in the last mile is usually handled by coaxial cable or telephone wires in the case of DSL (both provide about the same physical speed). There are a few lucky Americans living in certain test bed cities which have fiber optic going into their homes, but not many.

Fiber optic is used to connect various countries together such as America and Europe, so you just might be able to get a decent connection to someone in the states if you, and your opponent had fiber optic as their last mile (other factors will play into this such as the number of hops between each of you, but that's a story for another time). If not, the rate at which coaxial and telephone wires are capable of transmitting just isn't fast enough to have decent connections with individuals overseas.

I understand your sentiments. I'm only just now approaching the level that I can compete with tournament players, and they drop XIV on us.

It's my fault; I've had the game since it's console release and only started to get serious about a year ago. Until the Steam edition dropped it was nigh impossible for me to level up because the local scene had long since moved on, but thanks to Steam I've leveled up quite a bit.

Sounds like you only play on PC so playing XIII may not be as bad as you think because XIV looks to be a PS4 exclusive for a while. I myself don't have any plans to move onto the newer console generation, so I'll probably be stuck with XIII until XIV drops on PC.

I think that maxima, saiki and ex kyo sounds pretty flexible. All three characters are popular on point but imo, with this team you should be able to quite comfortably move characters around depending on matchups.
I agree with this, but EX Kyo is probably the worst of the three to put on anchor. When other characters have meter they're able to keep EX Kyo out of striking range. Take King for example, when she has 1 stock she can EX DP (an invincible move) a jump in even after firing off a venom strike which leads into combo opportunities. On point the other characters don't have any meter right away, so their options to keeping him out are more limited.

I don't have much experience with many characters in this game. In the beginning my mains were King, Yuri, and Mai, but I honestly wouldn't recommend them to a beginner except maybe King.... but even still I would probably stay way from her so you don't rely on her zonning ability as a crux (should be focusing on hit confirms, and landing combos).

Right now my mains are EX Kyo, Kula, and EX Iori... I dabble with Terry somewhat. Out of my mains the easiest to play, and combo from is EX Kyo (can be the hardest to get in on someone though). A beginner can pick him up, and start using combos pretty quickly. The combos only require minor timing even for some of the more complicated ones. He also has combos for days, so you have plenty to try, and figure out what is easiest for you to pull off.

Next easiest is EX Iori. He's a bit different though. You can use him effectively with most of his combos, and be a real threat, but he's also the hardest of my team to master due to his infinites and free cancels which would make you an insurmountable 800 pound gorilla to deal with. Like I said though, those aren't really required to be a threat. He has one of the easiest crossups to pull off. Easier than Terry, and Terry's is stupid easy. Comes with a command grab so if you can't open your opponent up, and they just keep blocking..... BAM!

I don't play Maxima, but since you seem to like him from what I can tell he's a high risk high reward character. A buddy of mine on my friends list plays him (very well), and if I blink twice during a match, then I've lost a character. When fighting against Maxima I have to make sure everything I do is safe. Safe jumps, empty jumps delayed action, etc... otherwise Maxima will hand me a full punish which will nearly kill my character. The buddy's name is HUcast, I recommend you play him, and have him go full Maxima on you ;)

Another easy character you might want to try is Shen.... back when people around here used to play, a couple of n00bs picked up Shen, and were able to quickly HD for 900ish damage with him. The character also has some armored moves (goes through non armored moves)... one such being his st.C. Doesn't have a DP though, and it seems most of his options require meter which is why everyone runs him anchor.
