Awesome list, but I have two questions.

Number 1, why didn't you do the same for points and only anchors and batteries? I'm not sure if by batteries you mean points, (what I use for the word first) or mids (2nd) maybe my terminology is wrong or something.

Number 2:
Benimaru - Throw combos, rekkas, zoning, crossups, he has it all.

Since when does Beni have rekkas? Do mean defense against rekkas?

Like he said on the interview, he attributes his win all to the headphones.  The first night they were asking me what can they do about the empty buttons and about the sound.  I suggested the headphones (at the time I didn't goto the venue and didn't know they supplied headphones now) and apparently the wall idea came from Romance, good shit Romance!  

The headphones just provided the game music.

I would want the headphones to focus mainly on the sounds of the attacks, it greatly helps with my timing.

Someone should make headphones with 2 channels so you can have your own music while still listening to the game sounds. Is that even possible?

Lastly, Louis is awesome for linking that Eddie Murphy song.

So does it work with normal links or does it only work when you input a motion (Which doesn't matter, just means you have to be holding a motion for it work >.>)

Also, I'm really having trouble seeing the effects! I've tried it, but it just feels like I've pressed it at the right time each time I've gotten it to work rather than when I press it early. Is it in feel only?

Doesn't work with links (iirc since they have no buffer).

You aren't doing it early enough I think (probably used to timing it properly), you can input stuff surprisingly early and have it come out.

For example, with K's dp into qcb+K HD loop I enter the dp motion sometime at the end of the slide (he's still doing the slide on the screen visually) and the dp still comes out after it. Same with Takuma's db fwd+B into fireball loop.

....That would actually greatly explain why I couldn't to jack with K', will try immediately.

love this series soo much, these games got me into SNK to begin with

Pretty much, I bought the Collector's edition or whatever it was that had Metal Slug 1-6 or whatever it was on a sheer whim for like 15 or so bucks used, it's always worked perfectly.

I thought it was cool that it looked like WORMS if anyone remembers that but I only saw screenshots of that in game magazines. Either way, it was an excellent decision.

The day I sit down with a brand new stick and do trials in KOF will certainly be an unpredictable one.

I'm sure it won't make the game easier, but I think going into HD will at least be easier. Won't have to curl my hand in a claw to hit the buttons like on 360 pad...

If you can show me a tournament where an Athena player dominates I'll eat my words. Until then, fat chance little buddy.

And again there's nothing about Athena that sticks out. She has no X factor. There's way better zoning characters and way better hybrid characters with command grabs.

I'm not sure why beating everyone in a tournament would be the only proof for Athena being good. There are plenty of other characters that haven't dominated in tournaments that we in fact already know are really good.

I assume it's Combo something Video, lastly, can Robert just bypass Saiki's Neomax by holding/charging? :o

I think Kyo's EX Orochinagi should be mentioned. A 2f super that deals so much damage and that has so much range is just way too good. A lot of things that usually are safe aren't against Kyo because of that super.

That super really is my main reason for maining Kyo instead of NESTS Kyo. While that's just me, I think that difference between the two characters should be mentioned, because it's IMO a significant one.

Welcome to DreamCancel goldenxcross. You'll be able to get a lot of tips from the forums, especially the character sections of XIII, and our wiki.

I'm guessing you'll be getting into Benimaru and the ladies with that avatar, so enjoy.

Haha, I only see a bear in his av, but his extra member title thing would lead to that, yes.

Personally if I have Andy Beni and like, Ash or Saiki on my team, (or Kyo) I'll refer to them as team prettyboy.  ;)

I'm new to KoF, but not really new to fighting games.  I played SFAE before, but to be quite honest, I got bored of it pretty fast.  After watching MadKoF at EVO this year, I decided to pick it up, and I can honestly say I don't regret it, nor have I gotten bored of it.  I'll definitely appreciate any tips to really get into the game!
I live in SoCal, so if anyone ever wants to get together for some games, I'll be down for whatever!

Pretty much, once you hold the button the game stores the motion for about 5 frames.

Yeah it's pretty damn cool.
