Hopefully they add an option to move the Bars in this iteration also. I like to see my sprites in full form.

BTW am I the only one who is finding annoying the screen shaking when the characters get KO?

I really like the fact that it emphasizes the defeat of the losing character. In the arcade version, if 2 characters got hit down, one K.O'd, they'd both fall the same speed and all. There was nothing... special about it.

Here, if that happens, the screen ONLY takes the mass impact from the loser. The falling survivor has no extra hard landing.

It's a great reference to Older KoF "DEFEAT!" scenes, and old SNK games in general. It's a little awkward sometimes, but I really like it generally.

And yay, I've been posting from a phone all weekend, but now I can post for real again! ^_^

I don't mind it. Heck, I don't even notice it after a while.

Questions regarding the console version:

1. Have they sorted out the cross up issue from the arcade game where sometimes when you crossup cleanly you dont end up on the correct side
2. Can you select your music as well as your stage?

Thanks

2. Since this game has Character/Team Themes and not stage music, most likely you won't be able to pick your music.

IIRC Question 1 has been answered and yes they fixed the wakky crossover issue.

For question 2, for what I have seen in the videos, you don't pick the song, you just hear the team song of the first character in order of the challenger team.

Althought I would love to be able to pick the song I want the game to play, like in BlazBlue. Also I wish the game included 2003 Aldeheid song, that song of the piano is so epic! Revolutionary Etude music is damn great.

Thanks guys hopefully there's an option to select your music, SNKp imo compose some the best tracks.

I remember hearing something about arranged tracks, so I'm guessing there'll be a bgm select.

It is said that there will be downloadable BGM for KoF XIII. (http://game.snkplaymore.co.jp/official/kof-xiii/download/index.html), so I think there will be an option to select BGM (maybe on Stage select screen).
SNK would make a great money, if they made a conspiracy/thriller style movie about the production of KOF XII/XIII. (с)

Info from Mbisionhatclub on MMCafe:

I emailed RisingStarGames to inquire about their "five characters never having been in KOF before" statement and this is what they had to say:

Hi,

Thank you for your interest in King of Fighters XIII.

Raiden is not one of the five characters this is about - nevertheless, you are correct about the error in the text. It now reads, "... five characters not available in the arcade release".

Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

So Do we think that means the console release has 3 more planned characters, to go with Saiki and Billy? Even if they count "Iori with the Power of Flames", that still leaves 2 more planned spots. Are these planned DLC slots, or slots for the console release? Only time will tell...

^If you see the Japanese website and go to the character section, you will notice there is space besides Billy and Iori. Enough to have 2 more character full body pictures, so I assume we will only get 2 more characters revealed and a total of 5 characters extras for the console version.

SAB-CA

Yeah, that does... Oh wow! The plot, it already thickens!

Hi,

I can't give you the names of all five characters because they haven't been officially announced - I think three of the five have been annnounced.

I can tell you that neither "Dark Ash" or "Iori 98" are among the five.

I think 3 of 5 have been announced, but Iori isn't one of them? (O.o;)
