Actually, I think the opposite.  If it weren't for the fact that they're trying to push this shit out as a DMC game, no one would give a shit about the game at all...again, bad press is still press.  Either way though, Jack the Ripper is gonna show Dante In Name Only how to get this shit done right.

My problem is a couple fold.  First, what was Dante's design problem in the first place?

Secondly, why are they trying to pass off random platforming elements that aren't very good it seems?

But the thing is, all the gameplay elements that made things like DMC3 so great are dumbed down or possibly absent within this game.  People could tolerate Dante's design changes or whatever if it meant a better game than DMC3, but it seems like that's not what we're getting.  Ninja Theory's problem is they're not gameplay first focused.

and to be honest operation raccoon city looks like complete ASS
and the devs of the game (slant six) have done nothing so far but made meh socom games on the psp and a extremely shitty one on the ps3 that took them almost 2 whole years to fix

Yeah, I already knew about that and I hate Dante's Design, but I can always ignore that if the gameplay shines through...which isn't happening in DmC.

That's true about Ninja Theory's problem, it looks like they don't focus enough about gameplay.

The things i cherish the most about Heavenly Sword and Enslaved are not precisely the (lack of) amazing gameplay.

And this is why I can't wait for MGR.  Platinum Games are making it a point (and made this point to Kojima when getting the ability to finish the game) that gameplay comes first.  The story should not inhibit what you can put within the game your are making.
