Team SLR Japonawa Qualifier Series

Team SLR will be hosting a 3 series tournament called SLRxJaponawa qualifier.

The tournaments are intended for the local scene to train and level up for this year’s Japonawa tournament.

Each tournament will hand out points to every participant, the player with the most points at the end of the third tournament will be sponsored to participate in the Japonawa 2015 KOF XIII tournament happening on May 23rd.

The first tournament will be held this evening, at Versus-Progaming lounge in Rosarito, Baja California, Mexico at 7pm PST. Second and third tournament dates have not yet been confirmed.

The tournaments will be streamed on Team SLR’s Twitch Channel.

Be sure to tune in to the stream so you can watch and comment on the matches. Commentary will be provided in both Spanish and English when requested.

Team SLR is returning to regular stream schedules after a long winter break.

Misterio Fundraiser Tournament – Bring Misterio to NEC15

On sunday November 9th there will be a KOF XIII Tournament in Chile.

The event will serve as a fundraiser to help with Misterio’s travel expenses as he plans to participate in this years NEC15 tournament.

Super Game of Death 2014 KOF XIII Replays feat. Toshi, Kula, Violent Kain, Luis Cha and many others!

The final week of august was very special for the Mexican KOF Community.

DarkGeese arranged for Toshi to travel to Mexico to settle some old scores.

Toshi is widely known as one of the Best (if not THE Best) KOF 2002 players and he came to Mexico to prove that.

Help Huevo Go To Chile!

Another great effort to unite the KOF community is happening as we speak.

This time we have the Chilean community trying to get Huevo, one of Mexico´s finest players, to visit their country for their upcoming Meliblipa Tournament.

To do so they have been playing high stakes money matches and using that money to cover Huevo´s expenses for the trip. Here´s one of the many high level sets that have been played:

Team SLR vs Ensenada Casuals

This past saturday Ensenada visited Team SLR for some casual matches, below are the highlights.

A quick note: There is a long standing rivalry between them since they are from neighboring towns, you can check previous SLR vs Ensenada matches in their Youtube Channel

First up we have AelNoS against Villegas in a First to 10 Set, there’s some sloppy play but AelNoS went to prove that he has been training and has invited the team to do the same.

Next is AelNoS vs Isostrife in a FT10

And finally we have a 3v3 First to 7 set, each one is using their own character, the roster is as follows:
Ensenada: AelNoS (Kyo, Kim, others), QDN (Mr. Karate, Clark), Fernando (Duo Lon, Ralf, Others)
SLR: Rozen (EX Iori), Villegas (Kim), Isostrife (Yuri)

Post CEO Matches: Reynald vs ZeroBlack FT5 and Reynald vs Misterio FT10 Rematch

We have quite a treat for you today. DarkGeese just uploaded this FT5 set between Reynald and ZeroBlack which took place after CEO. The video also features the first part of the Reynald vs Misterio FT10 set that showcased some of the highest level of KOF XIII gameplay to this day.

Team SLR Pre-KOF Challenge Stream replays feat Huevo, Kula & Khanibalito

Team SLR from Mexico had a surprise visit from Huevo, Kula, Khanibalito and local Tijuana players and wasted no time in providing an awesome stream!

They arrived in Tijuana early and decided to pay Rorarito a visit while they wait for international competition to arrive for The KOF Challenge II which will be held on Saturday July 5th. Below are the highlighted replays from yesterday stream.

The KOF Challenge II Featuring ET, ZeroBlack, Dante, Rolando, Misterio & more


THE KOF CHALLENGE II is here, this time around we have many international high level players, among them E.T. from Taiwan, Zero Black and Misterio from Chile, Rolando from Colombia, Dante from Perú and many more may still confirm.

This tournament was created so that both Mexican and International players have the chance to compete amongst each other before Evo. It is a huge opportunity since many of the high level Mexican players cannot travel to Evo, this makes THE KOF CHALLENGE II a great spot for local and international communities to meet, share techniques, learn, train, compete and enjoy a good time with each other.

The event will take place on Saturday July 5th (weekend before Evo) in Downtown Tijuana (about 10 minutes from the Tijuana-San Ysidro international border)

If you are near the SoCal area you guys should really try to stop by.

Entry Fee $50 Pesos (4 dlls) Tournament Cost: $ 100 pesos (8dlls). Registration from 2 to 5pm and the  Tournament starts at 6pm. If you want to enter as a spectator the fee is $25 pesos 2(dlls)

Prizes: Money collected from Tournament cost will be divided 50, 30 and 20% + Madcatz stuff
