This may be a little off topic but I think I placed Top 8 at WNF last night  

hello there...this is b1gblack and i am issuing challenges to people that are at my skill leve at KoF 13 my skill level is intermediate and i am having the hardest time finding people at my leve to fight against...i cant win romance and team chaos so i decided to throw a challenge to people that are the same skill level and slightly better than me i go to japan arcade located in downtown los angeles...if you need more info please send me a PM and i will get back to you thanks

I don't remember John using K or Kyo that often. Not sure if that's just out of preference or not. I know CMD.Duc/Ash has played K quite a bit, so there's probably vids of that. If anything, Kane would know the SoCal footage best, as far as who played which character.

The reason you don't see me use Kyo and K often is because I tend to run out of KY Jelly whenever I am beasting with those characters

John is there any videos of your K and Kyo? I wanna see how you would play those characters

I don't really have any vids of me using K and Kyo. What I suggest you do is bring a camera to AA to record some matches of me using them if you like.

Man to be honest at this point I'm willing to spend all my residual money to go out and play this game with you guys, only thing is right now my residual money only nets me one visit, dammit I want more money!!!! lol

Can his projectile really be considered a projectile? I've never seen it travel whole screen.

A semi-projectile, maybe?

In arcade it's used for a dangerous mix up that puts him in a 50/50 situation. From the console version through EVO shows that his projectile speed buffed up which means  his projectile is safer by faster start up and great force block situations that can lead to *cheeseburgers* (guard crush). His fireball isn't a great tool to use as a fireball game because his jump in attack speed makes up for it.

If the Duolon does st.C into fireball and anticipates a slow reactioned jump in from the opponent would result in eating a cr.C. If the opponent jumps in automatically after a badly timed fireball then  it is still possible to trade hits by duolons cr.C. Duolon's a character that relies on 50/50 setups.

@SAB-CA: If I was SNK, I'd give Clark an EX Flashing Elbow that picked the opponent up off the ground, allowing for an extended combo. Similar to what he had in MI2 / MIRA. Also, Vice should be able to DC her grab into her dp+P.

Both great ideas; The EX Elbow kinda reminds me of Ramon, as well. Maxima also already has the "Extended combos off an EX throw" option already, so it's within the games understanding, as well.

I really wish I could land Overkill after Gorefest with Vice, though Splash would also be great. Always suprised EX Decide doesn't work after it, either; the only situation an "Anywhere Juggle" doesn't work, lol. Would be nice if you could juggle after the EX version, actually...

or something like that in XIII? Because that was scary, but incredibly cool, lol.

By giving Clark an option for a continuation combo after elbow would be SIMPLY overpowering, Vice is still Viable with 1 meter and 1 drive to take 30 + that can get BS setups thorough her EX whip after a poke out of the air. Goro shouldn't have an easy combo like that as shown in the vid. Instead they should have  given Goro from 2k2um (console version) roll cancel into is  DP+k.  Now that would make him fairly viable since not many use Goro in the first place. high risk = real reward.

Watched some of the stream. Sounded like you all had fun which is a great thing. I'll try my best to come up with the SoCal crew the next trip up just for the hot dog cart that's stationed in front. If they don't have dirty dogs (wrapped in bacon) = no show  

Also can we set the win cap to 99??? I only have 50 cents

Hey everyone, I'm pretty new to KOF.  I'm looking to learn and not be a scrub anymore  .  I've tried playing 2k2 on GGPO to learn....it's not going well though. 

I've watched the tutorial on youtube several times and have been able to practice combos and such on the dreamcast version, but during actual play it's like nothing makes sense and I have no real control. 

Anyway, I'm really looking forward to XIII on console (360) and getting some good matches.

WELCOME TO DC! It's okay to feel powerless against an opponent with a higher level. I'd recommend you playing a person at a good level that way he can show you what's possible in the game including combos and certain setups that he put you in the first place. Or you can just work on your game at home playing the computer first and bring your A game later 

Metaphysics is rumored to be coming down to A2 for some good games in 13. Are You Ready?!?!? Let's go!
