I remember a long ass time ago reading at cyberfanatix that snk was working on a HD metal slug with kof xii like graphics. I hope this turns out to be true

lol, that song is actually good

i'm starting to see more and more headphones being used in fg tournaments, even mad kof acknowledge the headsets helped him keep concentrated. I can see more companies would want to take the chance and get money out of this, the more sponsors the better
#4
so what the hell are they listening with those headphones, the game itself!?

Trials are hard as hell that means just one thing, inputs are as strict as ever which is a good thing IMO.

yeah good thing for those of us who have good execution in fighting games and want to compete...

the same can't be said for casuals. ( i personally like it though)

snk is holding to its roots everything from the graphics to the gameplay and avoiding the easy route cough*CAPCOM*cough that we all know it never works.

man I'm loving this game it's been a while since I haven't enjoyed the single player of a kof game like now, I haven't played online at all.

so far generic converters ps1/ps2 to pc are not working. The ps3 InPin converter works though.

the reviewer clearly sucks at fighting games. He should stick to his genres for all I care I'm done loading up my music I'm going back to play this amazing game nobody knows what could happen tomorrow, The end of the world??!! I need to play this as much as I could, 4 DAY WEEKEND BABY!!! and KOF XIII to my side, I can die in peace. I'll see you later

here's another casual 7 review

http://www.gamesradar.com/king-fighters-xiii-review/

old fashioned ways and gaunt presentation,Extremely unfriendly to beginners. WOW!!

everyone is giving 8.0 scores to KOF XIII for the most part, gamespot have always been a fan of the series I'm not surprised. It's just freaking IGN that dared to do it again. Dude I can't believe those idiots get paid, the review was very childish and unprofessional, the video comments are flooded with anger they couldn't be more right, shit is hilarious. at least it seems they're not fooling the audiences this time.

heres something ive been wondering. if you have mod ps3 or 360, you dl this game and play it for free online. are you even able to use the ex characters online because they shouldn't be out yet? seems pirates really do live the good life if so.

you can't play online on a modded ps3 as of now and it doesn't look like it in the foreseeable future, even if you download the game right you won't be able to play it 'cause it will require you to update the system.

First Review?

http://www.egmnow.com/articles/reviews/egm-review-the-king-of-fighters-xiii/

The magazine Games TM reviewed it as well, giving it an 8.

In the same issue they gave UMVC3 a 7 and games like Uncharted3 a 9 so I think 8 is pretty damn good.

Don't care about reviews but good word of mouth via reviews is always good.

8.5, but I agree all things considered, if they gave UMvC3 a 7, Uncharted3 a 9, then 8.5 is respectable.

esaka 94 is by far the best kyo stage

they should have remade that one instead

That stage is really awesome, but I think it's tied with 96Esaka because it has great view of traffic (and now people on the streets too) great spectators.  Although 94Esaka felt like there were more crowds watching in the background, and nice view of the buildings and stuff, I think 96Esaka overall had better views from the spectators, buildings, traffic, etc.  So yea they are about tied, but I don't now how a 94Esaka remake could top KOF96Esaka Remake stage with day and night variations.

96Esaka overall looks like the better spot for fighting and view of the city (also the large Monitors are also nice touches for more KOF activity.  Even though they don't show the current fighters on the monitors like in the original (the original had monitor portrait for every single fighter, even bosses.), they still look very active with effects.)

esaka 94 looks more like an arena rather than just a tourist place that characters happened to stop by to beat the crap out of each other. Also the moody dark look of 94 feels more accurate for a fight. I myself consider there are more better fighting stages in the series like AOF team stages 94,95,96 or the concert stage in 97, those are far cooler than 96 esaka.

it's not that the combos are hard its more like the timing/flow of the game is a little different.

nothing to be scare about you'll get used to it in a few hours if not minutes.
