*World explodes*.  With popular players like Justin Wong and Ricky Ortiz expressing their interest in picking up XIII among others such as Kindevu, RF and Juicebox -- XIII just got real serious.

lol pretty sick. Not surprised though i had a good feeling most of the strong Capcom players were gonna get into it. Especially Justin. He plays almost everything and I've seen vids of him awhile ago playing XIII with kensou in the arcades. And he did play a little 98 back then pretty well at CTF IIRC.

I mean recruiting gods Dakou and Xiouhai is pretty awesome.

I think it's safe to say that KOF has the best soundtracks collectively compared to any other FG.

I dunno...KOF collective soundtrack has more songs I like, GG collective soundtrack has songs I like more.

Regardless, the preorder bonus is looking (or should it be sounding? *laughs* ) pretty damn sweet.

Awesome news about elive getting together a strong XIII team.  I'm curious to see if they're going to try recruiting any top players from other games who aren't known to have a KOF background.  Probably not, but it'd be neat to see.

Also, it would be cool to see Justin Wong enter XIII at NEC so that THE ANSWER can blow him up *laughs* .

Well it should be a damn interesting year, that's for sure.

AE'12 and UMvC3 are virtual locks.

SFxT WAS a virtual lock...but if it continues to do things that cause this much backlash, I don't think the EVO organizers will truly back it.  Long shot though considering how much influence Capcom actually has over EVO, so it not getting in would be hard.

That leaves (if they continue the 5 game format) 2 more slots.  Games that would be left, MK9 (I would say unlikely to make it in, but meh, you never know), BB:CS2+, SkullGirls (would not be surprised to see it there), KOFXIII, SCV (...probably not happening), and if it's out by then which I believe it should be for consoles, TTT2.

If KOFXIII continues to gain support, I think it can definitely make it in as the 4th game.  If anything, it's the 5th game slot that will be really interesting.

I'm pretty sure that I'm not good enough at KOF to win the tournament at NEC (and by "pretty sure", I mean like 99.9999% *laughs* ) (doesn't help that I'll probably only have like 4 days with the console version before heading out because amazon.ca shipping for preorders is always late for me), so the trip will mostly be about learning and meeting others for me, but I'm not going to let any names intimidate me.  Overall, though, I just hope someone actually dedicated to KOF wins it...would be really happy to see the dabblers from other games all get trashed.

ugh, I hope this doesn't turn into some turf war with KOFXIII to where only people who have actually played KOF religiously before should be the only ones allowed to win anything.  Last thing I wanna see is this crap turn into that MK9 PDP tourney crap, or CEO when Tokido took MvC3.

There shouldn't be anymore of a mission to beat JWong than there is to beat anyone else in front of you.
