How can I play this game?
Currently, unless you either live in Japan or own your own Hyper NeoGeo 64 board, the only way to play this game is through the MAME emulator, which for years has been plagued with emulation issues. Recently, things have improved significantly for HNG64 emulation thanks to the developer 'mamehaze' making the games fully playable. However, as of May 2023, sound is still broken. Netplay is, unfortunately, only possible through Parsec at the moment, but Buriki One at least benefits from being a much slower paced game that immediate inputs isn't as much of a necessity as other fighting games, which helps mitigate the Parsec input lag somewhat.
Should I turn Second System ON or OFF?
Second System helps new players by visualizing not only the follow-up inputs for the majority of moves their character can do, but also tells you how to perform your own throws as well as break your opponent's throws. On the flip side, having it on also gives your opponent an exact read on what you want to do by reading the inputs displayed on your Second System. A very important thing to keep in mind, however, is that Second System is not banned in tournaments and is highly encouraged that new players leave it on anyways as they get used to the game. As for turning Second System OFF, while you are left to memorize all inputs and throw breaks by yourself and timing throw inputs correctly, it makes it so that the opponent cannot read any of your inputs, either. Both options have their pros and cons, so it's really up to personal preference on whether to use it or not. If you're experienced at the game, it's definitely possible to leave it off without any worries. Second System will not tell you how to perform every move the character has either, notably Ryo's Haoh Shou Kou Ken, but gives you the majority of their moves to work with.

- Due to Saionji's weird reactive nature and Aikido fighting style, it is difficult to accurately rank his viability.
