jdccup2Announcing the Dream Cancel Cup and the Journey to Dream Cancel Cup Tournament Circuit:
In an effort to bring more KOF centric events to the scene, we present to you the inaugural Dream Cancel Cup and the Journey to Dream Cancel Cup Tournament Circuit Series.

The first installment of Dream Cancel Cup is planned to be held Feburary 20-21st 2016, at Winter Showdown 3 in Colorado.

The Dream Cancel Cup will be run yearly by Dream Cancel Staff in cooperation of local KOF/SNK communities across the United States. The first Dream Cancel Cup will focus on KOFXIII, KOF98UMFE, and KOF2002UM. More SNK and KOF titles will be added in the future. More details will follow in a separate announcement.

The Journey to Dream Cancel Cup Tournament Circuit is our upcoming tournament series to bolster support for KOF communities across the country. The Dream Cancel Cup Tournament Circuit features many forms of tournaments, ranging from the large premier tournaments, to smaller ranking battles and online tournaments around the year, which ultimately culminate at the end of the circuit at the Dream Cancel Cup.

Details about the Dream Cancel Cup and the Journey to Dream Cancel Cup Tournament Circuit:
The Dream Cancel Cup is an open entry tournament but winners of premier tournaments will gain a special title (and 1st bonus pot prize if possible) and will be reminded & invited to join the Dream Cancel Cup to play against other Premier tournament winners of the Journey to Dream Cancel Cup circuit to ensure a high level of competition at the Dream Cancel Cup in February 2016.

The Journey to Dream Cancel Cup is a yearlong tournament circuit to prepare players leading up to the Dream Cancel Cup in February. The Journey to Dream Cancel Cup will feature 4 main types of events: premier tournaments, ranking battles, online tournaments/events and one-on-one first to 10 battles. PlayKOF points will be awarded to the participants in each of the events. The PlayKOF points will be used for seeding at the EVO KOF side tournament and the Dream Cancel Cup. The PlayKOF points will be documented on dreamcancel.com to keep track of player’s progress. Players will be able to earn PlayKOF points up until the week before Dream Cancel Cup.
The premier tournaments will be used for players to qualify to be directly invited to the Dream Cancel Cup. In addition to earning the highest amount of PlayKOF points, winners of premier tournaments will gain a special title (and 1st bonus pot prize) and will be invited to the Dream Cancel Cup to play against other Premier tournament winners of the Journey to Dream Cancel Cup at the end of the year for exhibition matches.

Midway through our circuit will be the Super Qualifier which will use the KOFXIII standings for seeding!

Ranking Tournaments (Locals/Weeklies/Local Round Robin)
Ranking Tournaments are local community events that feature either a bracket of players above 8, or round robins of players under 8. To have your local tournament approved to earn rankings, post your tournament announcement in your local thread in the offline matchmaking, then post the results and video links after the tournament. You will be notified by a Dream Cancel moderator if your tournament has been approved and if PlayKOF points have been awarded.

Online Events
Online Events will be ran & organized by Dream Cancel staff using KOF titles from the Steam Game Client.

One-on-One FT10 Battles
The last type of event are local offline one-on-one First to 10 battles. Your FT10 match must be either streamed or recorded and must be posted in this Dream Cancel forum thread: https://dreamcancel.com/forum/index.php?topic=3404.0 to await approval. If approved, PlayKOF points will be awarded to the players. Only one FT10 one-on-one battle weekly between two players will be allowed.
