KOF i 2012 — SNKP’s biggest troll attempt yet?
SNKP has updated their KOF-i edition for 2012 and have released a plethora of screenshots. Allegedly, they are just trading cards. Now where have I seen these characters before…

Those are some REALLY good sprites to just be for trading cards. I hope they don’t let the negativity surrounding Capcoms habit of releasing update games prevent them from giving us this stuff, because I would honestly LOVE to pay for a KOF13 Ultimate Match; If all these characters are in there it would be well worth it.

I am KoF noob and actually was a kof hater but after seeing how good this game really is and thinking about how much money I waste with crapcom I pay whatever for a kof update or new game I just want more KOF!!!!!!!!!!
Damn I was hoping to see Rock Howard in there.
Sooo much potential in these images, much of these non playable charcaters would add for an amazing roster in a hypothetical KoFXIII UM.
Igniz, Geese,Orochi would be my Team Boss of choice.
They sure spent a ton of effort creating some incredible sprites here. I would absolutely love to see all of these characters make it into a future KoF game. SNK has built something amazing with XIII and i hope they build upon the foundation that theyve created. Here’s hoping we’ll see some of these sprites used for an update to XIII or even better yet…KoF XIV =)

I agree, though the thing is, in order for KOF XIV to be another Dream Match title, they would have to redraw (or re-design) the remaining characters in HD sprites (?) who appeared throughout KOF 2003 & KOF XI, them being:

4.) Jhun Hoon,
5.) Ryuji Yamazaki,
6.) Blue Mary,
7.) Shingo Yabuki,
8.) Hinako Shijou,

And if it were up to me, I would throw in both the 360 versions of KOF ’98 UM, & KOF 2002 UM as bonuses (unlockables) on one disc. I’m very positive that all three next gen consoles will have more than enough disc space to have all three of those games by then.

Yes please add Geese to KOF XIII as a DLC or at least reveal a new version of the game with him

I would LOVE to see more characters and moves as an update to XIII, alot of characters didn’t have many DM moves, (Athena, Maxima, Goro, Clark)
Or maybe have them in a Unlimited Match version of this, that’d be great too ^^
Well the first thing i want the most is SNKP to put on the provocation animations, before the fight! and number 2 our teammate in the background like the good old days! Come on guys, KOF need this to be as good as it used to be in the past.
Ps: And i want some iconic characters like Shingo, Yamazaki, Blu Mary, Lucky Gauber, Heidern, Saisiyu, Chang & Choi, Team Yashiro…
If SNK don’t ever release a KOF game with Rock Howard in it, I’m gonna be a sad, sad man. I’ve been waiting for a rock howard on a true kof game (maximum impact was nice, but it was no kof) since i first saw him.

These cards are teasing KoF XIV, and an obvious announcement that the next installment will indeed a Dream Match, like the KoF tradition wants. Since even dead characters (Magaki, Shion, Krizalid, Igniz, Zero, …) have been redrawn to the new art.
SNK, and now SNK-PLAYMORE, have never trolled their fanbase. They have a super clean relationship with the fanbase, compared to King of The Trolls: Crapcom.
Now what’s actually hitching my mind is which clone will they pick? K9999 or Nameless? Or did they drop K9999 for good because of the Akira copyright issues?
